Ashton: We Won't Execute Cobbold Stand Plan Until the Time is Right
at 13:46:24

Portman Road is clearly going to become a significant stadium venue if redeveloped. They've hosted big gigs in the past and this potentially opens up revenue opportunities from a variety of sports/music/entertainment events. The real challenge is matchdays in the further future if crowds fall back the early 20s thousands or below in 15/20 years time (think looking forward 20 years in 2001...) But you have to plan for an ambitious future and use PR as a real
Local asset beyond football and as a revenue driver 52 weeks a year and over the next 50 years. Exciting we have some real vision and action being driven from the very top.

McKenna: So Much to Be Proud Of
at 09:00:57

Well done to Elkan Baggott, maturing fast in the set-up and getting his chance to shine. It's the trust KMK puts in the players to be their best that I love. And the tactical change to close down the game by bringing on the experience in the last quarter of the game...great management. And 20,000 fans on a Tuesday night... hats off to everyone! COYB!

Ipswich Town 4-3 Blackburn Rovers - Extended Highlights
at 10:00:18

Gets better with every watch. What a game that was. 28,000 fans at a sunny Portman Road and seven goals..could easily have been more!
There could also have been a sending off for Blackburn, too, but our quality, from Super KMcK through the whole team, won the day. Massimo and Sam were huge and some beautifully taken goals from all over the pitch. COYB!!

McKenna: A Thrilling Game, One We Need to Enjoy in the Moment
at 19:28:06

What' a game. Sam and Massimo were rocks and the whole team put a real
Shift in. The ref was pretty poor at times and inconsistent at best, but the Blackburn team had some good, quick passages of play that were really tough but we stood up all over the pitch today.
Hutchinson is fantastic, and young Dane Scarlett showed great strength and maturity in taking it back to Blackburn and keeping a real physical
presence at the top of the pitch.
We deserved the win. Fantastic tactical switches at a key moment in the game as ever from our superstar manager..Kieran McKenna... UPPA Towen.

Thanks goodness McKenna was astute enough to build strength in depth.
Our injury record is abysmal and we now have a very strong bench to come back for the end of the season...hopefully...

McKenna: Edmundson Out For the Foreseeable Future But Morsy Back in Training
at 16:58:29

A blow for sure, and I too hope Burgess can step up. One thing from this I am relieved to hear is some straightforward honesty from the manager: to paraphrase
'It was a nasty injury and he'll be out for a while, don't get your hopes up he'll be back before season's end'.
It just puts to bed the speculation of 'will he/won't he be back' and signals HUGE opportunity for others to step up. We move on quickly, have a plan, we were ready for this, and wish George a speedy recovery. Great clarity.

McKenna: Everyone Speaks Highly of Liam
at 17:42:24

I appreciate the direct answers to questions and absence of platitudes. Honest without being earnest and his own man and not being led into traps like the age-related coaching methods topic. Just nice to read to the end and take a few things away from the effort - it like he respects the fans...who'd have thought it. An articulate, astute manager back at Ipswich. I like his style and delivery. Good man, Kieran. Great start all-round.

The second goal was Premiership quality. Fabulous move, great skill. And Chaplin is really coming into his own. You feel
He could make something happen at any moment. Well done Town. Re-establishing our sense of pride and getting the results we know you're capable of. Would love it if we could unseat Plymouth and knock Wycombe over too… what a statement that really would be..! Just keep it up lads!

Glance around the results tonight and you can see it's a tough league. Lots of

Town Accounts Show Evans Waived or Settled £96m in Loans
at 19:48:52

I imagine Marcus will recoup a chunk from his land retention/development and remaining stake in the club.
I bear him no ill will for backing himself to become an Ipswich legend. Not all stories end in glory, but I think it's emerged broadly honourable for all, and he a little wiser for the experience.

Ashton: Too Big an Opportunity to Turn Down
at 15:08:17

To say we're looking forward to the new era is an understatement, but you're right in that it's the details that matter. Sometimes the little things really go deep, and I've often thought that about the fonts around Portman Road. Something that has little to do with the football and results, but epitomises the journey and the good times... something that I'm happy dates us given recent years' results! COYB!

Detmer: Pension Fund Very Much Aligned With Our Vision
at 17:16:00

It's just great to have investors showing passion and belief. That's not meant as an indictment of Marcus Evans, just a nice thing to see. It's a long cycle, we're in a trough, they see us reaching a peak, and that the signs are there. Great fans. Great club. Great opportunity. This is modern football as a business...we are lucky to have great brand equity built up by fabulous heritage and achievements. It got us on the radar, it's given us an opportunity. Exciting and uncertain, yes, but we're at least MOVING again. Onwards and we all only hope upwards...! COYB!

Dear oh dear. Massive club. Dear me. And I've played for some of the biggest clubs, but dear me dear oh dear. Wark, Butcher, oh dear me.. and the fans. Incredible.

The good times truly are in the fast-fading past.

Burley and Butcher for a few games?
Might as well.
