I already knew the score, so I wasn't too bothered. I certainly didn't have to wait 24 hours though.

I'm not sure there is any way you can block the score - maybe you could use something like ublock origin and the block element option! Otherwise you'll just have to really squint while you're setting up a fullscreen player!

I couldn't bring myself to buy a fake version of something, if I can't afford it, and I want it, I'll have to work for it. But that again demonstrates the fact that people think these sort of clothes give them status, the fact that they're willing to buy fakes!

I mean, obviously it works on you, wearing seemingly expensive clothes, as you commented on them!

Brenner Woolley - embarrassing now
at 10:32 20 Jan 2020

Half the people who ran on the pitch looked about 45. They were embarrassing, I mean what the hell do they think they're doing? You know they think they're big and clever and so cool, but they're well into adulthood and they still can't follow basic rules? Yeah, cool innit

If you still want to be wrong, maybe. You could try "fell", which is actually correct.

90 Minute Performance
at 14:46 13 Jan 2020

You can watch on iFollow.

I'd say it was a 65 minute performance, and after that they got a bit more into it. We weren't putting in 100% at that point, and did have times where we struggled to put a couple of passes together. However, Accrington really weren't very good.

Worst signings in history.....
at 14:44 13 Jan 2020

Found this in the comments on the Ali Dia video:

"Back in the year 2000 or thereabouts, I worked in a publishing office. One day, a very bored member of our sales team decided to ring Ipswich Town, and ask for George Burley who was manager at the time, putting on a 'foreign' sounding accent all the while. Unbelievably, the call was put through to Burley. Me and others in the office were all sitting there shoving our fists in our mouths to stop ourselves laughing as he had a fairly lengthy conversation with Burley about the fact he was a 'football agent' and had a great player he might want to look at. Burley was initially totally sucked in by it, but in the end he did get a bit suspicious probably because we were having real trouble stifling our giggles. In the end my mate just put the phone down. You wouldn't think it possible to do, but it definitely is!"

When Lambert says “ systems don’t win you games players do” what does he
at 10:50 13 Jan 2020

I'm a bit lost now Joe. Are you saying we have the players, but we have been very disorganised? Or are you saying that this weekend we weren't so disorganised and the players could shine?

Because either way, the system is playing a part. It's not just players that win games, evidently, or we'd be top of the league by a country mile

Where does Aguero rank among PL strikers ?
at 23:07 12 Jan 2020

Can't believe people are saying take Torres out. I know he went off the boil at Chelsea, but f*ck me, when he was in his prime he was out-of-this-world unplayable. His finishing was deadly and he was absolutely rapid to boot

When Lambert says “ systems don’t win you games players do” what does he
at 23:01 12 Jan 2020

I think I have given up reading Lambert's interviews after yesterdays, the lack of cohesion gives me a headache.

"Players win games, not systems"

Ok, so when we've gone without a win in 14 games because you've picked a team like a bingo caller and changed the formation every week, is that not players without a system?

And the first time you play the same team twice, we put in by far our best performance of the season, is that still the players? Or is it that we used a sort of, I'm not sure what to call it, system?

I just give up with it. A lot of the time it reads like he doesn't even finish one sentence before starting the next.

If systems aren't what wins games, it's the players, then what the f do we do in training? Surely we wouldn't even need a manager in that case?

the full game is uploaded? I was hoping I was going to be able to watch this morning?

Maybe they don't do this any more, I'm sure they did last year. Looking, I can't see the option for the Wycombe game either

EDIT: I'm a dolt, just click watch now and it'll start. I thought it was going to be listed with the highlights

I'm having very fleeting recollections but I can't remember exactly what it was and my googling is turning up nothing.

I feel your comment is supposed to be a bit of a clue, though

If you had to choose between
at 17:32 9 Jan 2020

Did it demonstrate what a good job Mick did? Or did it demonstrate what a terrible decision maker his successor was? Because right from the word go, Hurst absolutely destroyed the squad, and if that hadn't happened and we'd gone with Lambert right off the bat, we might not have been relegated. Let's remember that we lost around 40 goals in a matter of days.

I'm not trying to say Mick didn't do a good job, the playoff season he certainly did. Equally, I think he had to go, his position had become untenable, the relationship strained. However, I'm not sure the aftermath of his sacking can be entirely attributed to the job he'd done previously as much as the job which was done immediately afterward.
