| News Comment | McKenna: Another Game We Feel We've Done Enough to Win at 16:13:30
Another game where we’ve conceded to every shot on target we’ve faced. Last 3 weeks we’ve faced 7 shots on target and conceded 7 goals. Defensively it’s absolutely not good enough, we can’t score 3 or 4 goals every week to rescue results |
| News Comment | Edwards Leaves Town By Mutual Consent at 13:54:12
Its a real shame cos there is a player in there somewhere he just wasn't consistent enough. Other than his 2 goals against Cambidge i think my favorite Kyle Edwards moment was him skinning his man and putting the cross in for Burns to head in the winner against Portsmouth after they thought their 2nd dodgy penalty of the day had nicked them a point wish him well |
| News Comment | Tuanzebe: One You Need to Win to Be Fighting For Promotion at 10:32:10
This guy is a top half Premiership standard player when fully fit and firing - he was an immense signing. Having said that i'd personally play Woolfenden saturday, with him being local it means that bit more to him and then i'd bring Axel back for Leeds where his extra bit of quality will be needed |
| News Comment | Ball: A Great Opportunity at 10:22:46
Ball is actually a massive player for us sometimes without even getting on the pitch - Because he can cover anywhere across the back line and can play a midfield role his versatility allows McKenna to name several attacking players on the bench, without Ball we'd use up more of those spaces on the bench on defenders and McKenna wouldn't have the options he has most weeks. |
| News Comment | Harper Contract Terminated By Mutual Consent at 13:29:48
He was done here the moment he played a ridiculous blind pass across his own penalty area to sum up a woefully poor performance in the cup game with Colchester - the kind of thing you're told not to do in the under 8's ! If McKenna had given him a clean slate and a chance to prove himself he ruined it that night. Never looked the player he was ment to be but hopefully he salvages his career somewhere else |
| News Comment | Town Rebuff Hull Edwards Approach at 13:52:08
The fact a championship club is interested in him shows what everyone knows that Kyle undoubtedly has ability, he just needs consistency to his game. I'd turn down any approach because Kyle only improve |
| News Comment | Loanee Harper Impresses Boss on Return to Exeter Team at 11:02:34
undoubtedly the lad has talent - i think his confidence was shot to bits under Cook - when he played against Colchester i was hoping to see him like he was when he first arrived but he was just way too 'safe' i didn't see him turn, run, bring the ball forward or anything it was all just a little pass to the bloke next to him or backwards ..... then he made a monumental error for Colchesters goal by passing it across his own penalty area which you get taught not to do in the under 9s and i think the writing was on the wall for him after that. If he can't get in the Exeter team i can't see his career with us lasting beyond the summer which is a real shame because when he signed he was seen as a real coup for us |
| News Comment | Woolfenden: Kyle Had to Leave His Car and Run to the Ground! at 11:02:04
I think a big indication of how far we've come as a club is the fact that Kyle edwards wouldn't have got a sniff under Big Mick, even if he'd have signed him in the first place after last season he'd have been out on loan or shown the door - the fact that we have stuck with him, supported him and worked with him and now both us and him are reaping the rewards of that. We all knew Kyle had ability which is why he was at WBA in the Premiership and why Celtic wanted him but now he's really starting to show it, he just needs to be consistant with it which is the next big test for him but it sounds like his work rate and attitude are in the right place to achieve that. |
| News Comment | Harper Joins Exeter on Loan at 18:09:19
When I was 8 I taught not to play blind passes across my own goal - hopefully Harper will learn this at Exeter ….. In all seriousness tho, despite him being dreadful against Colchester there IS a player in there he is just low on confidence so hopefully he will go and get it back with them |
| News Comment | Keogh Signing Confirmed at 10:25:53
I don't get the negativity - hes another one like Dom Ball who won't shirk a cold tuesday night in January away at Shrewsbury - games where we've previously been bullied and lost. McKenna has said the squad is short of experienced heads and an experienced head who was a regular in the Championship last season is a good one. John Wark at his age was was still a vital cog and a leader in our defence - you can't overstate how important that experience and know how is in the dressing room as much as on the pitch too |
| News Comment | Celina's Kasımpaşa Move Back On at 13:34:28
After seeing us dominate an opponent and fail To beat them for about the 50th time in 12 months I'd have thought we'd be pushing to get Celina in because it's clear we still lack a cutting edge |
