Did they post the Naaridge tix straight away?
at 18:22 26 Mar 2024

If you look at your history on the ITFC site and there is a symbol next to the ticket, it has not been sent yet.

I emailed the ticket office yesterday and they started posting them out yesterday.

Makin/Frimley is the reason that I rarely post on here and I would like his absence to become permanent, but I do not doubt that he will be back soon.

My next post is likely to be on April 28th.

I wish it had been two words.

Sorry Phil, but only that would make the forum enjoyable for me again.

The 66mins Portman Road ROAR - reward for brilliant play from Town

I think we reached that point ages ago when he flooded the forum under the previous name that he was using. Ruined it for me then, and it is no better now. He probably posts slightly less than back then, but still must post more than anyone else on here.

Your first derby game attended
at 16:15 15 Dec 2023

I am not certain but the first that I know I was at was the F.A. Cup replay at PR in 1961/62. We lost that but the season did have its compensations.

My first one at their place was September 1964.

R. I. P. to your Dad.

My dad has been gone 10 years and my mum coming up to three years, but I will always be grateful to them for introducing me to ITFC, among many more things. In fact, I wrote a little piece on here on the day that my mum passed away.

I was with them the day that ITFC became Champions Of England, and my dad was in Amsterdam with me in 1981.

My condolences to you and your family.

I hope the day never comes that I cannot name those eleven names as a reflex action to mention of 1961/62.

I hope that you are well.

I don't think we will ever know the full facts, but common sense based on the facts that we do know indicates that there was more than one shooter.

Add Fidel Castro to your list of people/organisations that wanted him gone, not that I think that he had anything to do with it.

It has been pretty obvious to me for the last thirty years or more that I have been interested in the case that there must have been at least two shooters. I also doubt if Lee Harvey Oswald was one of them.

I did not need to watch the programme to know that there was apparently an entry wound in JFK's throat.

Can anyone explain why this was disallowed?
at 19:59 12 Nov 2023

Certainly the lino who was a couple of yards away pointed straight for a corner but in my mind I am certain he got it wrong.
Unless Hirst says whether he touched it or not we will never know but my son, who was next to me, and I were sure it should have been a goal kick.
I am assuming that the mistake was realised and whatever happened from the corner there was going to be a free kick awarded against us.
Maybe that was not why the goal was disallowed, but either way, I am convinced Hirst touched it.

So the fact that Hirst kicked it still makes it a corner?

Yes.
From my Upper Cobbold it clearly went off Hirst.
It was so obvious that it was funny when the lino pointed for a corner.

Because the lino gave a corner for what should have been a goal kick because the ball went behind off Hirst. They probably realised the mistake and a freekick would have been given against us whether we scored or not.

Not at the home game it wasn’t, we won. One of 9 wins that season.

I went to the home game and remember that because of fog it was not always possible to see what was happening at North Stand end from the front of Churchman’s.

Id like to see Walton in goal
at 16:11 3 Oct 2023

I would think and hope that it has not crossed KM’s mind to play Walton tonight. It is good to have him back involved with the first team but there is no way that Hladky should not start tonight, or probably next Saturday either.
I was concerned when it became known that Walton would be out for a while and Hladky certainly looked edgy to start with at Sunderland, but he has been a major part of our excellent start to the season.

F.A. Cup 4th round January 1964. He was a few days short of his 49th birthday so a bit past his prime as a player.

If it is seen play ‘in the flesh’ then:-

Jimmy Greaves
Cruyff
George Best
Bobby Moore

I saw Stanley Matthews play but many years past his prime, but on reputation maybe him.
