So, are we going to sell-out our allocation for every game?

Given the fact that most grounds are very small, what's the feeling on getting away match tickets, especially for those for whom an Away Match Passport is not really an option?

Is it best to take out one of the memberships to get ahead of the queue?

I'm thinking games like AFC Wimbledon, Southend, Wycombe will be hard to get tickets for.

Any views?

Obviously, if we're sh1te and shipping goals this is unlikely to be an issue. But I predict we're going to smash it in League 1 and want to get to some of the away matches.
New rules for Premier League next season

Interesting changes re handball, throw-ins and VAR.

Most striking appears to be that, if the ref is intending to issue a red card, the other team can take the free kick without waiting for the card to be produced. Not only that, if they do, the red becomes yellow.

Sure to create lots of talking points:
Premier League, stadiums and, er, Watford
at 11:17 1 Apr 2019

Was chatting to a Watford supporting friend over the weekend. Spurs' new stadium came up and their capacity of 62k versus Watford's 20k and the sustainability of Watford's business model.

His view, fwiw, is that there's just no need to expand Watford's stadium. First, because so many in that area support Spurs, Arsenal or Chelsea they would probably never fill it; and second, because of the PL money.

Watford apparently get £100m p.a. from television, with about £8m p.a. from gate receipts. It explains how Watford, along with clubs like Bournemouth, with a capacity of just 11k can still do very well in the PL.

While it was great to expand Portman Road back in the 2000s, the reality is, the money would have been far better spent on players instead.

Ho hum.
