Lets do it for all the fans that couldn't be on this journey, that passed away before they knew McKenna or Sam Morsey, before the rise. |

Its interesting sight to see Chalobah in action at Chelsea. He reminds me of the bad times at Ipswich and now there he is in a semi-final. |

James Rodriguez and Carlo Ancelotti were peak Everton, looked like they were about to really do something. How Ancelotti came to be there is the biggest mismatch of modern football. The AC Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich and previous Real Madrid manager went to Neverton!! I relish the chance for an update or more wide covering book on his career, the Everton part will be quite a write up. |

Its a good time. I was just thinking last night of the worst moment in those years an realised we did actually lose to Accrington Stanley in 2021. My mind had blacked it out. But this team, wow. |
| Forum Thread | Are we saving our best away performance for Norwich? at 21:05 29 Mar 2024
The boys have really done so well this season, and have treated us to some superb performances. They group well together in adversity. Today they mucked in but it was not our best. Are they saving it in the Tank for Carrow road? They will need to be right on it. They will need to be sharp, clever, hard working and clinical. Norwich are going well. I hope they can pull it out of the bag, its our most difficult game of the run in. [Post edited 29 Mar 21:07]

Morsy is close to my player of the season. Wasn't great in the middle of the game though, gave it away. But decent enough today. |

We need to just kick the ball into row z. Omari for instance doing tome keep ups with back to opposition on 18 yard line. Whack it out. Spoil their play. |

I'm hoping it brings to them a core understanding of how to manage a game in these 90+ minute periods. Not the first time its happened in 18 months. When in an important game and it moves to the closing stages, with a desperate team with new subs facing them, the whole unit needs to understand how to see the game out. That might mean simply kicking the ball out often to break up play, then moving the ball up the wing, into the middle, back to the wing, back to defence, back to the middle and repeat. Need to spoil their play at that stage. [Post edited 9 Mar 14:52]

Bouncing round the room, that game brought out proper emotions. I think Bristol City were so effective, made it more frustrating, and the pushing too. But wow. We just stick to our game and McKenna plays the chess. |

Been this way at home so much. Benjamin Bloom made a good analysis before the match. Lots of goals against and goals for, thats how you tell the manager is better than the team.. Still have some League One players. |
| Forum Reply | Do you think Joe Royle would approve? (n/t) at 22:15 5 Mar 2024
Isn't this the Ipswich way? When we are at our best, this is the nervy, attacking, raucous mad football we play in front of an amped up crowd, enjoying the spectacle. With a good manager pushing the team to drive into the opposition and tear up the pitch. LOVE IT |
