Town Apply For Planning Permission For Sir Alf Stand Signage

I’d much prefer an upgrade to the PA system in the cobbold stand so we could actually understand anything being said.

Chambers: Not Acceptable For This Club
at 10:56:27

We were no better or worse than Peterborough. Unfortunately we are both poor sides in a very poor league. If we had a little bit of better guidance and tactics we would have more than enough to win this league. That will not change with PL in charge.

As for Chambo, well he is not getting any younger, and expecting him and Ward to bomb up and down the flanks is ridiculous. He has been a tremendous captain and servant to the club over the years. The bad thing is he is being maligned now for trying to do something he is not able to do .

Lambert: I Thought We Were Really Good, I Couldn't Ask For Any More
at 19:04:46

He's gone the same way as MM did. Absolutely not a chance he will change and will continue to be pig headed with it. At least MM was playing against better opposition than is served up in this league.
It's a pity there are no supporters able to attend to let him know exactly what everyone thinks of him, or should I say his way of playing. You can hardly call them tactics.

Woolfenden: We’ve Got to Start Playing to People’s Strengths

On this and every post or feed I see, the same comments keep coming up.
“We need to change it before it is too late” believe me, it's too late already. This season is over.

EFL Set to Switch to Five Subs

May be good for time wasting but no good as a spectacle to watch.
If you want to introduce 5 subs then so be it, But Only 3 during the second half. The other 2 can either be in the first half or at half time.

Lambert: We Were a Bit Below But Showed Great Resilience
at 07:16:25

Putting it bluntly we were second best all day. Ended up with 10 players when in reality they should have been down to 10 long before us, even their local radio station said there was no way he should have remained on the pitch. As is the case, the same player then scores the equaliser and we manage to hang on for the final 20 minutes. A good point in the circumstances but rather toothless display.

Lambert: Downes Faces Fight to Get in Team
at 14:38:16

Lamberts way of saying we are going to sell him so will not play him. Does not want him injured and jeopardise the sale. We have a strong midfield squad and others have played well, Dozzell especially. But, Downes was the best midfielder and most consistent player last year. Plus this year will only be better. He will go, it's just getting the right price for him.

Clubs Vote in Favour of Salary Cap
at 14:38:55

This basically negates any advantage we had with bigger than average crowds and commercial turnover. It also means we will not have much turnover with playing staff as those not playing will just hang on for a couple of years to see their current high paying contracts out before leaving. This season is now sh1t or bust for us as if we do not get out this time we could be cut adrift for quite a while. Add to that if you did get up actually staying there is now that much harder.

Lambert: Last Year Wasn't Good Enough
at 18:52:40

Not all bad news. Take a look at our squad, KVY back after only playing a handful of games last year, Jack Lancaster back after a whole year out, Norwood 100% fit again (hopefully) in my opinion that is like signing new players. Take also the fact that Teddy Bishop, Freddie Sears, Emyr Hews, are fit. Downes, Woolfy, Dozzell will all improve. Surely we are going to be better than last year. Even with no signings I expect us to be up there.

Well I can dream

Jackson Concentrating on Football
at 15:56:55

Think this sums up exactly the difference between fans and players. Quite happy to Let his agent sort things out, does not appear that bothered if a contract is not sorted, he will just move to the next team and the process begins again. Nowhere did I hear he wants to stay, enjoys being here etc.
To me this just proves he treats being here a job not a privilege, it does not matter to him what shirt he puts on, just the size of the pay packet.

O'Neill Delighted Young Duo Have Signed Deals
at 08:36:01

Why are the majority of comments negative? A very good player has signed a long term deal and as usual the knockers use it as an excuse to moan about the club. The fact is that the club have protected their asset for a bit longer and if another club comes in with a bid for any player it makes it easier to decline or make sure the price is higher. Likewise if the player was not committed why would he sign a longer deal. If he had let his contract run down then he can demand higher wages at another club as they do not pay a transfer fee to us.
For me it is a win,win situation well done club and player.

Unlikely League One Play-Off Extension Proposed

Whether you like it or not everybody is looking after their own interests, as you would expect. It would be totally different from our perspective if we were sitting in the top 2. I think the general consensus then would be we should not void the season.

Evans: Focus Should Be on How We Finish the Season
at 11:45:29

Bluearmy81. Like I said same old faces knocking every time something is said or done. No matter good or bad.
Under investment? Well the owner has ploughed in millions if you look at the balance sheet. Without that contribution we would be in a very sorry state yet he gets pilloried every day.
With the under investment shortfall we obviously have, why don't you pay more or make a donation above your ticket price if you are that concerned. As for selling players, yes we have sold. Some bad decisions by the managers here at the time and others to stop the shortfall in finances we have each season.
The biggest problem we have along with the majority of the football league is SKY TV. Their money makes football so unfair to anybody not in the premier league. That is why we have to keep selling players who go to them and then sit on the bench, never to be heard of again.

Evans: Focus Should Be on How We Finish the Season
at 16:01:09

Getting a bit boring how the same old faces keep knocking the manager, owner and players. Whatever they do they are wrong, at least let the bloke have an opinion.
He could sign Messi tomorrow and would be knocked as he should have signed Ronaldo.

As the saying goes “an empty drum makes the most noise”.

If you are that fed up go support the 6 fingered brigade up the road, or maybe you already do.
