Huddersfield (h) tickets
at 19:13 17 Apr 2024

This type of thing is going to be a common problem. Lots of people who want to buy two tickets together but have different priorities. Maybe the club should allow two people with different priorities to merge the points for the two so that each has half of the combined priority when buying two tickets together?

If we end up in the POs v Norwich - home game likely to be moved...
at 07:47 16 Apr 2024

Not if its a lunchtime ko. Playing first gives the lower placed team the best chance of getting a lead going into the second leg. A lunchtime ko, when it is much harder to generate atmosphere, against a team sitting on a lead and countering? No thanks.

Everyone knows that the Play-Offs aren't a fair means of deciding promotion, but at least there is a nod given to the advantage of finishing higher - which is that the higher placed team plays the second leg at home under the lights where the atmosphere is electric. Also the timing of the two pairs of semis, so that there is a similar recovery time prior to the final.

If plod intervenes and insists on a Saturday lunchtime ko, they are interfering with the very integrity of the competition. That advantage of finishing higher (by around 20 points) is gone.

Imagine if those puke-coloured six-fingered sister botherers were to progress at our expense on our patch, after we finished 20 points ahead. Whether it was a lunchtime or not, there would be loads of trouble. Plod's best bet, if it transpires that we are in the POs and get them, would be to let it go ahead as an evening game and hope that we win.

made a point of mentioning that John Mousinho was the L1 manager of the year.

Did Look Norwich mention Kieran by any chance?

The hardest thing I have ever had to write
at 15:23 15 Apr 2024

I'm no professional, so all I can suggest are a couple of things that I've picked up along life's journey....

When you're feeling down like you are, and a loss of confidence, there is little better in my experience than notching up a couple of successes. But I think they key is not to be too ambitious. Write down a list of things that you should do/achieve. It could be as simple as a shopping list, or taking some exercise, or striking up a conversation with someone. But make a list, and perhaps decide when you are going to do it. Once you've completed a task, tick it off on the list. I always find that once you get a few ticks on the list, you start to feel more positive, and have achieved something. It then gives me more confidence to tackle some of the slightly more challenging tasks.
It may not work for you, but its a technique that I find works well. And talking definitely helps. Good luck bud.

400 tickets given out?
at 07:26 7 Apr 2024

you would think that there would be a mutual agreement between the clubs for Directors/officials to get a certain reciprocal number of tickets - perhaps 25 or so each in the Directors area for former managers/players/celebrities. Ticket sales of the allocation stipulated by EFL are supposed to be for fans according to the prioritisation scheme. QED.

Can anyone clarify the yellow card/ban rules?
at 11:06 1 Apr 2024

the limit for 10 cards is 37 games. Sheff Weds was our 38th league match, Mass was on 9, so he got past that and received his 10th card on Friday in our 39th game. Now he is past the 37 game limit for 10 cards, he just has to avoid 5 more cards in the last 7 games.

Sam is on 12, so he has to avoid 3 cards over the last 7 games. If either gets to the 15 card limit, they get a 3 game ban which would include the Play offs.
However, once you get past the 46th game, the number of cards is wiped, so if you get your 15th card in a Playoff semi, it doesn't trigger a suspension.

It seems such an opportunity squandered with BW. A young man with so much talent, so much passion, and he could have become a cult hero here. I wish him nothing but best wishes to get his life and career back on track.

Mehmeti from Brizzle City?
at 07:05 31 Mar 2024

i didn't rate him - every time he has to take a touch to set the ball before hitting it. Even in the Championship, you rarely have that much time, it's been noticeable for us that much of our shooting is first time. That's no doubt why our players sometime scuff the shot or loop it, but at least we get the shot off. If you watch Mehmeti he always has to take a touch to set himself up for the shot, and frequently a defender gets in a tackle or block and the shot doesn't happen. Where we're headed, we need better.

Correct, and I think we had a big part to play in that. The two come from behinds were massive in punching through their shield of invincibility.
