Lambert: Good Point But We Should Have Had a Penalty
at 08:46:19

3 games with (almost) the same team and the performances have definitely improved. Thought the ref was awful and wanted to be the centre of attention. We still lack creativity from midfield which is the difference between us nicking games like Oxford rather than drawing. Keep the same team please Paul and let’s finally build up a head of steam.

Portman Road to Be Given Makeover
at 23:55:23

A nice touch by Evans. Maybe to commemorate his time in charge he could commission Sally Jackson to produce a mural depicting all the iconic managers he’s appointed during the past decade and the successes the club has enjoyed under his tenure.

Lambert: I Know There are People Who Want Us to Fail
at 21:48:39

Would the real Paul Lambert please stand up. Kissing Butcher, Mills and Wark’s backsides, paying for away day travel and ‘uniting the fans’.... but when he has a few of his buttons pressed (after a dismal, dismal winless run) he shows his true colours. How to ruin a fine days work. No one wants you or the team to fail Paul, but it doesn’t mean we have to like you or the way you behave (even if you have played for some really, really big clubs)

Lambert: Evans Realistic About Where Club Is

I didn’t realise Paul had played in front of so many fans, and for such big clubs. He kept that quiet!

Judge: Form Will Turn Soon
at 13:31:00

@Bert - not sure that critising the manager and some of the players amounts to 'not supporting the team' but instead I see it as voicing our concerns and frustrations... aka... that's what true supporters do, because we care! Also, I don't agree that there were sound reasons for rotating the squad as much as PL has done. After what happened last season, this current winless run is hurting everyone much more than it probably should be.

Was there a 30 day cooling off period option built in to Lambo’s 5-year contract agreement?!

O'Neill: Lambert New Deal the Right Decision to Give Club Stability
at 18:24:45

What a load of BS. A 5 year contract doesn’t mean stability. Lambert could resign tomorrow or he could be sacked tomorrow. It just means he gets a bigger payout when/if he gets sacked. Reward Lambert for progress on the pitch, not on the numbers that he’s helped bring back in to the stadium - which will start to drop sharply if he doesn’t start to make some progress on the pitch!

Bishop: Great to Be Back Out on the Pitch
at 17:26:51

Different class when fit. Having Teddy, Freddie and KVY all back and fit will make a big difference. Add a new centre back and another striker in January and we still might have a chance of making the play-offs this season.

Wycombe Wanderers 1-1 Ipswich Town- Match Report
at 17:55:04

Marginally better? Maybe? Still pretty cr@p though. Norwood looks out of his depth, Jackson works hard but lacks real ability and Judge offers very little. We should have brought on Keane at 1-0 when Wycombe finally started pressing and there was space for Jackson to feed off Keane flick ons, but PL never seems to know what to do with his subs. I thought our defence, our passing and 1st touch today was dreadful, against a team who were there for the taking. I don’t understand the timing of the contract extension or the reason for the reward. All very bizarre! And there was me hoping for a positive start to this decade!

Lincoln City 5-3 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 17:41:53

Normally I don’t see the point of sacking a manager without a replacement lined up. However on this occasion PL needs removing from post immediately before he does any more damage. Huge game on NY’s Day against Wycombe who have lost 3 on the spin. Have a new man in charge for that game and let’s start the year with a win and build some much needed momentum.

Portsmouth 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 17:53:32

I don’t think any Town fan would have started with Nsiala in a L1 game again, let alone away at Fratton Park. Lambert is lost and needs replacing ASAP. When you consider how quickly Hurst was moved on, it’s amazing how PL has survived this long. The frightening thing is I just can’t see how we are going to get out of this rut. How long does Evans leave this now? Surely PL goes if we lose at home to the Gills on Boxing Day? Merry Christmas to you all.

Nolan: Not My Ideal Role But I'm Happy to Do a Job There

Jon - sadly you gotta play where Lambo’s state-of-the-art random squad rotation computer selects you to play. No point grumbling fella, just think yourself lucky you haven’t had to take the gloves off Tomas yet...

Lambert: You Always Want to Add But Funds Could Depend on Sales
at 19:15:19

Bettyblue - a VERY valid question... what does Lambert actually bring to the club? He initially came in and helped make us all feel better with his positivity despite no improvement in results from October 18 to May 19. EVERYONE has been saying for months that he’s got to stop rotating the squad but he still does, what is he doing? And why is he doing it? Our great start was down to lucky 1-0 away wins, fact. Jokes aside, a computer simulator might as well be picking the squad, the formation and which subs are used and in what minute. The only change we need to make in January is a new coach.

Lambert: I Knew the Start Was Creating a Problem
at 17:16:34

IpswichToon - I’d love some of your positivity but I fail to see how or why you think we are close to things just ‘clicking’? I remember how poor we were back in August watching us beat 10-man Shrewsbury 3-0 and if anything we’ve looked even more disjointed over the past month.

Lambert: Evans is a Very Good Owner But We Have Running Battles
at 15:42:58

Do their running battles go something like “Paul, your 14 months in charge has actually been pretty awful and I’m starting to think you don’t know what you’re doing?” “Marcus I’m doing really, really well and I’ve played for some really, really big clubs”.

Lambert: You Can't Give Teams Two-Goal Starts
at 00:38:25

What has Lambert actually achieved since he’s been here? Are we in a better place now than when he took over? His PR made everyone feel good for a while but we were in such a mess his appointment kind of went under the radar despite his awful management record. He has done NOTHING to demonstrate any sort of capability since he’s been here and if anything his record is appalling. We can’t afford to not get promoted this season. Barnsley, Wigan and Luton coming down will be hard enough let alone the likes of Huddersfield, Boro or Stoke dropping down. Evans can’t allow this once great club to fester in L1 and he has to make a change this month.

Lambert: Worst Performance in My Time Here

You would have thought that a man who’s at the last chance saloon in terms of his football management career would realise that he needs to play his best team week in week out? It’s all a bit bizarre. And surely Evans must be starting to get twitchy... or maybe not if he still remains a clueless football moron after all these years?

Ipswich Town 1-2 Coventry City - Match Report
at 22:07:12

2 wins from our last 13 games. Any improvement from last season? A savvy owner would be looking to bring in a proper manager now and build some momentum towards a crucial return to the Championship. I’ve now seen enough of PLs tactics, squad rotation, formations and bad use of substitutions in a very poor quality league. I’m not a fan of PL and we need to make a change before Christmas otherwise we risk being in L1 for many years.

I was a doubter of Paul’s rotation policy, choice of formations and use of substitutions before today’s game but after we won on pens tonight I now think we are great and will win the league (and possibly the Football Association Cup)
