| News Comment | Town Targeting Wimbledon Striker Al-Hamadi at 15:08:54
Its one where we just have to trust the judgement of our manager and his team. Seems a tricky one to get your head round from a pure supporter angle but there must be something in the lad that we can't clearly see but the boss can? |

Well thought out and interesting read. Still trying to get my head around the concept of KM getting in a new striker likened to Henry VIII divorcing Anne Boleyn! |

Well its a blue shirt after all for home fixtures, as always knew it would be. Good. Was mightily confused with the colouring of the away shirt. It looked orange and black looking at the initial pics put up. Others show it as red and black- which is better. I hope the white away shirt is still in the locker for certain fixtures. Wish we could have stuck with a version of that as 1st away choice.... |

Well done. Weather conditions were none too great still round here. I imagine there was a little added incentive for our ladies having seen all the yellow and green livery around ground for Horsham FC which now seems to be the home ground for Crawley Wasps.. |

Being of Georgian vintage, I am struggling with the claim that in '61 or '62 rationing had only just ended. This was 1954 as I recall. Not from a personal standpoint as I was a very small boy then, but '54 marked the end of it all. However, massive fan as I am of the Stones, I can't understand how they have managed to get their mugs on a set of stamps!! |

The Mandy Rice-Davies mention was pure genius in the context of a blog about ITFC! Enjoyed the read.... |

If ever a new design is released, the Punch is essential as the main feature. It signifies strength and elegance. Two qualities we need to get back! |
| News Comment | MacAnthony: Ipswich is a Dream Job For Someone at 12:50:41
With our Mr Rooney you will always be waiting to read about which seedy hotel room he was coming out of, having spent the night in there with female company- not Mrs R, of course. Unless things have changed, there's a certain puritanical attitude by American employers to their employee's moral and social habits. Can't see this one getting sanctioned by the Three Lions Board somehow.... |
| Blog Comment | Cook is No Gamechanger at 12:37:42
With a win now ground out last Saturday, the mood has hopefully mellowed a bit. Until there is any sort of form established we have every right to be worried. I must confess to being this. Impressive CV's are clearly no guarantee. |
| News Comment | Cowley: Blues Target Morrell Turned Down a Significantly Better Offer at 09:46:27
For the players decision, I read that there's two angles on this. His desire to play every week is admirable and he clearly believes that's what he'll be doing at Pompey and not here. If he has indeed turned down a "significantly better offer" then I can only assume that you can't argue with stupid... |

Fully agree with IpswichtoPhoenix. Totally unnecessary opening paragraph. |
| News Comment | Speculation on Town's Available Players Gets Under Way at 13:40:12
So the clear out begins. No real surprise I guess. I just hope there have been some frantic drum beats on the bush telegraph recently by PC for who's coming in.. Dearly love to know who the replacements are and new team will be........?. |
| News Comment | Cook: All the Decisions Have Been Made at 08:04:57
Certainly nailing his colours to the mast with this article. I am just wondering if there isn't some American corporate management style creeping through here..? What the new owners are investing in clearly has to work for them. Investment in us linked to a US pension fund? Good luck with that. I worked for a US owned firm in the 80's. The business was as far removed from football as you could imagine, but I had an under performing office. Visits by line management were therefore not much fun and they blamed the issues on the other members of staff. I stuck up for them. Needless to say that cut no ice. Parting shot from leaving the premises after the inspection visit: “Its them or you!” Perhaps PC has had that call already? OK he's having a clear out. I can't see any reference on who he wants to bring in. I can only imagine it must be players he's had in his teams before or knows how they tick. More of the point. How may are available. Didn't Hurst go out and buy 11 and look where that go us? Very hard to assess which way all this is going to go……………. |
| News Comment | Town Takeover Completed at 12:02:50
Is this our Churchill moment? (December '41) The Yanks are coming! There's a long way to go yet but looking forward to the summer dealings and next season even if this one fizzles out. Feel kinda sorry for ME in a way. I think he was genuine when he bought in but made some of the most appalling decisions in personnel all the way through. Mick was fine for a while and hopefully P C, but only time will tell.............. |
| News Comment | Who is Paul Cook? at 10:07:26
Many seem unsure about this guy. My Everton supporting pal asked me yesterday: "who's coming in after Lambert?" Paul Cook looks favourite, says I. Response was: "Sounds like you're getting a cross between Mick and Lambert then!" I'll take the 43% win percentage though............ |
