|Mick and Lambert|

From reading PL interviews and from fans discussions with PL, he is clearly appalled that the club was allowed to become what it has and the lack of pride in it. A lot of the improvements we are now making seem to be things he has pushed to ME that must happen.
I never got the impression from Mick that he was unhappy with the facilities or set-up here and he has high standards himself. He also brought in a number of decent players who would not have signed if the training facilities and mood of the club was as poor as PL suggests.
I honestly had no idea things are/were as bad as PL is saying.

5400 odd fans at St Andrews, with Southend taking over 1000. We could end up potentially having more fans there than "home" fans if the away allocation remains the same (4,500)

Just read that the have spent the 5th most money in this transfer window out of every single club in Europe, with apparently a £12 mill bid for another having been accepted today and them lining up a £20 mill bid for Maupay.
They could realistically end up spending close to £200 million this transfer window.

|Building a team around one player|
at 19:10 11 Jul 2019
I recently read Neil Warnock's book about his time at QPR. What jumped out was that he is an incredibly successful manager at our level and always believes in building a team and tactic around 1 or 2 men in the side.
At Sheffield United it was Jagielka, Adel Taarabt at QPR and he intended to use Andros Townsend at Leeds, before he cleaned out his locker and left the club.
I can't remember many Town teams we have built a team/tactic around. Darrent Bent, Jon Walters and Murphy? Thought I don't think we used Darren Bent that well, more it was his pace and finishing.
Lambert also did this successfully with Holt and Hoolihan at Norwich.
Who would you say is the man or two we could build a side around?

In another twist, Bolton has had to start an emergency food bank drive just to feed their staff. That is absolutely diabolical.

I can’t remember the last Town boss who has shown such emotion from the touch line. God knows what he’s gonna do if we do the impossible and stay up. A Phil Brown-style karaoke on the pitch?

At what point will he come out and discuss the situation? He was praised by many for his 20+ min interview in the summer and we heard a bit more from him. Now, unless I've missed something, it's been incredibly quiet. Even Milne hasn't come out.
Letting us know what the plan is for January in terms of transfers, if we have a budget or plan in preparation for going down...like come end of Jan if it's looking all but certain will we prepare for a title challenge? Play offs? To consolidate in League 1?

Jonny Williams comes across as a really genuine guy. In one of the eps he visits a psychologists due to depression and talks about his injuries and his self doubt in his ability. He refers to a certain Mick McCarthy as one of his role models
