| News Comment | Edwards: Thanks For Making Ipswich a Home at 19:46:14
A good character to have about the place, real team player (you could tell from his joy at getting wins, even when not on the pitch himself). All the best for the future. |
| News Comment | Brighton Winger Sarmiento Set For Town Loan at 18:48:23
One note of caution - like Hutchinson and Williams, it might take Sarmiento a few games to settle down and get up to speed with our system. Please be patient during this process! No rude comments if he isn't immediately a world-beater! |

Agreed. From the geneology I've done, old families in Suffolk and Norfolk are more closely linked than they are divided by the Waveney. |
| News Comment | Hirst: Comebacks Show Our Character at 10:05:06
One major problem with this team is that, after a while, you run out of superlatives to describe the characters and what's going on. |
| News Comment | No Moves In or Out Before Deadline But Tuanzebe Set For Trial at 21:46:59
Most importantly, we haven't lost any of our current key players. We've turned two of last season's most important loans into permanents. Plus we've added a well-regarded young midfielder, some young Prem talent on loan and an ex-ManU defender to have a look at. I'm not going to grumble, particularly given our record and League position so far this season. |
| News Comment | McKenna: Hard-Fought is the New Routine at 21:00:23
I like the way he says 'We spoke about it a half-time and agreed ...', not "I talked to them about it ..." Makes it sound like a calm discussion of problems and solutions, with input from the players and a plan at the end. Far cry from verbal hairdryers and flying waterbottles. A collegiate atmosphere with everybody collectively working towards the best outcome. |
| News Comment | McKenna: Nothing Imminent But Work Continues at 19:15:13
We're Championship new boys, fresh from four years in League One. We're not going to have the status or draw of those clubs just relegated from the Prem, or who were challenging for the play-offs last season. Town are likely to have a decent budget, but not an enormous one. We do have to satisfy FFP, after all. Quite rightly, IMO, we are not prepared to pay over the odds. We all think McKenna's an outstanding young manager, but from the outside he's very new and inexperienced. His profile is not yet big enough to attract players who might not otherwise be inclined to come. This is the reality of our situation, however rosy things may feel on the inside. Another couple of wins during August may do a lot to get deals over the line in the final days, showing prospects that we really are going somewhere. |
| News Comment | Town Confirm Taylor Signing at 20:21:45
Excellent. He already smiles more than the last Taylor we had from Posh. Good age, lots of potential, long contract. Season worth of Championship experience, too. |
| News Comment | Staples Demolition Under Way at 11:10:40
IBC must be delighted to have gone from disputes over rent possibly ending up in court (2010-12) to the club desiring talks on cooperation and the possibility of investment in the local area. |
