Not really. Will be too soft underfoot for some ride on mower action!

We've got a few options, but I agree that Burns is hugely important to how we play.

Big opportunity for Omari to further impress though.

I've become a massive weather bore as I've got older, but this winter in Suffolk has had about double the usual rainfall too, and that's on top of what was a really wet Autumn.

That said, the last week or 2 here has been decent, for March anyway.

England playing in dark grey shirts at home

Yeah, can't really disguise the fact that fans are now customers.

For the most part I'm relatively at ease with it, as no one is forcing people to spend their money, but having the 3rd kit does feel like it crosses a line a little bit.

Same reason we wore a black kit in a home game last season.

Shirt sales = cashmoney

Its very clear that they work as a team isn't it? When (if?) McKenna makes a step on from us, I'll be amazed if Pert doesn't go with him.

I once stood near Sitters in the Black Horse beer garden. And he once gave me some useful advice regarding a sh1t blockage in my drains.

"I’m sure most people would actually get on over a beer instead of the online silliness that seems to come on here with such emotive issues."

This is why I (mostly, though I'm sure I've had my moments) avoid all the big political arguments on here. I've got my views (and most probably know them), but I'm not interested in arguing the toss about it with a stranger on the internet who I'd probably get on fine with apart from politics.

Bon voyage.

FFS, don't spoil it, I'm on a 10 minute delay.

Also, a Shakey fact for you, he spent more weeks in the top 40 than any other act in the 1980s.

Does the new investment mean...
at 20:09 22 Mar 2024

There are probably very few clubs for whom McKenna would be a target, and which he would also be interested managing. Maybe 7 or 8 clubs, if that, and if you add the extra support he's now going to get here (both on and off the pitch) I think it would need to be a really attractive opportunity to tempt him away.

I had a similar 30 minutes with Broadhead and his lady in Waitrose earlier in the season.

Like you, I'm not one for interrupting peoples private/family time, but ended up looking like I was stalking him anyway.

I take almost everything Ashton says with a pinch of salt - he is a brilliant salesman, and has done a fantastic job of building our club back up (clearly helped by the job McKenna is doing!), but you do often get the feeling he just says the best thing at any particular moment.

That's no major drama tbh, and still a huge step up from the non communication/occasional 5 point plan from Evans.

I'd share your reservation if they had sold a controlling interest, but that's not the case.

Appreciate that a private equity firm can be pretty cut-throat about getting a quick return (I've seen that in my professional life), but with 40% investment they are limited in their ability to do that.

And with us not owning the ground, the risks are also thankfully limited, for whoever owns us.
