Somebody please teach Leif Davis to play the ball and not the player. He missed so many tackles throughout the game getting involved in a personal vendetta. The whole team need to learn to head the ball as well.

Aluko, Davis, Humphreys, Burns, Burgess, Harness were absolutely dreadful......and thats simply too many players to carry.

The constant rotation is unsettling and we look completely out of sorts. Be lucky to make the playoffs.

Totally agree Linkboy, Carroll should be nowhere near the first team. As a defensive midfielder he doesnt win ball in the air, too lightweight/cant tackle and doesnt have the speed to cover his lack of strength. As an attacking midfielder he rarely makes an incisive through ball/forward pass, very few assists and even less goals..............so what is he doing playing!?

Great effort put in by all. But will need to have more cutting edge against better teams. Just about got away with this one with the players out there. Woolfy, Burns, Walton were our best players. COYB

Both players and JM have to hold their hands up on this.

Two up front first half but never turned their defence or found feet.

Mcgreal recognizes the pitch is bad and we need to win the battle....then plays a midfield of Aluko(luxury wide player) playing narrow - hardly received the ball. Carroll(lightweight) - only passed backwards and sideways, putting our back four under unnecessary pressure. Fraser (ineffective) - has done nothing all season. On top of this Toto gave the ball away EVERY single time. So, without feeding the forwards.....we were essentially playing with 5 men. What a surprise we got well and truly stuffed first half.

Second half Once we began to turn their defence and Morsey came on to get a grip of midfield....we were at least in the game.....and Ok, Mcgreal made the required changes.....but it was TOO LATE!

Carroll not good enough. Toto tries but is an accident waiting to happen and surrenders the ball far too often. Jackson is an athlete but not a footballer.

Regardless of formation you have to win the battle first. Stay solid and impose yourselves Mcgreals narrow tactics with lightweight fair players was completely the wrong thing and a home win was easy money an hour before kick off. But the desire from 7/8 of the players was beyond a joke.

Agree in so far as I think we are losing the battle in midfield and have a bit of sympathy for the defence. Whether this is down to player performance or being overstretched is open to debate. For me, in an effort to be more creative/attacking, we are leaving large holes in between....particularly when central midfielders/full backs begin to tire. Two of the players(Fraser, Evans) are not contributing nearly enough. Im glad we are trying to be more attacking but there needs to be a balance. Having said all that we are gifting the opposition goals again and again. I dont agree with comments made on Hladky......thought he could have done much better with both the first goals versus Cheltenham/MK Dons.....seemed afraid that he would collide with the goalpost......which is part and parcel of being a goalkeeper.

5 decent mins in first half, a couple of chances. 5 decent mins in 2nd half. A solid effort by team but lack of quality and attacking intent. Think Cook is right.....we faded dramatically and dont look fit.

KVY played very well 2nd half until he tired (Man of the match). Downes was everywhere. Bish huffed n puffed and most of our best attacks came through his efforts.

Huge clear out required. Roll on next season

Hoof ball the entire game. Players starting who had barely seen any action. 4-5-1 with these players clearly DOES NOT WORK. Set pieces were dreadful. We took our time taking goal kicks, throw ins, free kicks.......let the opposition get back into shape, thats jolly decent of us.

Im quite prepared to give Cook a fresh start next season, with his own players and stamp on the team...........but this is just dreadful.

Jackson crossed the ball into the box and we had ONE player in there. How can we expect to win a game if we dont create chances!?

Only players with any credit were Toto, who played well, Norwood who worked his socks off on his own for 60 mins, Teddy had a handful of nice moment and KVY who did some lovely overlaps.

Hang your head Edward....you were abysmal.......didnt look interested

Players put a shift in

I dont think Dozzell is hopeless....but hes not a defensive midfielder...too many fouls and bookings. If his best attribute is passing then he should be further forward. Players seem uncomfortable with tactics/formation.

Please......Lambert out and someone who can put players in a correct formation and get the most out of them

74 minutes before we finally have a shot on target. The last 16 minutes we actually created a few half chances but its all too late. Tactics/formation are all wrong.

Toto struggled with the pace of the player he was marking and it was a definite penalty. Chambers was dreadful, passing all over the place. Felt sorry for Drinan who was crying out for a partner up front. Edwards wasnt in the game until we finally put more of anattacking intent into the game....which then gave him impetus and space to drive into. Dozzell has nothing to aim for....completely negates his passing ability.

New lad Thomas did well when he came on and should be starting

Lambert out

Ugly and got the win but the stench of Lamberts tactics hangs heavy in the nostrils

Good:
Holy made two decent saves when Nsiala was caught out of position. He came out and closed the forward down, deflecting shot for a corner. Saved from a Nsiala mis kick which was spiralling in. McGuiness won most things in the air, put himself about and scored. Flynn Downes was steady in midfield. Norwood ran his wotsits off chasing lost causes. Drinan did ok when he came on....especially when he has a partner up top.

Closing down and getting the ball forward earlier

Not so good:
Still trying to work out what Dozzell offers us. With one up front he has little options to aim for and his passing tends to go backwards/sideways. Not known for his tackling and tends to give fouls away(and pick up bookings). Edwards did nothing but give benefit of doubt. Judge had 5/10 minutes in the second half but was otherwise absent.

Ball watching by a few, aimless lumps up field. Only one striker.......again (P.S Lambert....it doesnt work)
