86th minute, finally win our first corner of the half...
at 22:18 14 Jan 2020

It needed to be swung in...in the wind it could have gone anywhere. I groaned loudly when they went short.

Seen that, whoever they are they are an utter disgrace and embarrassment to the rest of us. Constructive criticism on a forum yes, but direct personal abuse is bang out of order.

Derek Acorah RIP (n/t)
at 07:48 5 Jan 2020

In 2005 my property appeared on a television programme which Mr Acorah was involved with. I was with Mr Acorah' during the filming. All I can say is that he was a very nice bloke, however a complete charlatan and fraud.

Thanks guys. My son just ignored the idiot, but was a bit pi55ed off about it and reported it to me when he got home. We won’t dwell on it, we will move on.

Abuse My Step Son received today, report to club?
at 20:37 26 Dec 2019

After a poor performance my step son waited at the end of the match to try and get Alan Judge’s shirt. He’s been doing this for some home matches now by holding his Irish Flag up. As an older fan walked past went up to him and aggressively asked him if he was “a member and supporter of the IRA”.

Now my step son is half Irish, but very, very much a Town fan for some years and myself for 40 years.

It wasn’t a political flag just the Irish tricolour with “Judgey, please can I have your shirt” written on it. My son is fuming, as I am. This person also insulted Alan Judge too. (But wasn’t in ear shot at the time.)

Just a quick question. Do we report this to the club?

A massive thank you to Alan Judge for actually bringing his shirt over to him.

Thanks guys!

2 Bacon Butties with a runny fried egg. Just had it, now looking for a glass of port. Still, we are entertaining family. Have a great day all!

Do terms such as 'Piccaninnie' and 'Letterbox' have a place in our country?

So, I can’t use the word letterbox now.

Clive James RIP
at 17:14 27 Nov 2019

My late father used to roll around laughing at Clive James. As I do. I still run through his “Postcards from......” The Tokyo and Berlin episodes are just masterpieces of dry sarcastic wit. They are available on YouTube. He has been ill for years I believe. Great loss indeed. RIP Clive.

We are a shocking football side.
at 07:44 27 Nov 2019

Zero shots on target all match, official stats. Not good enough, but 65% possession. Norwood needlessly got himself booked, contributed very little. Fantastic save from Holy. Overall, they were there to be beaten. Chance not taken. We are still second, but need to improve.

Lambda (oxygen) sensor on a car
at 18:21 11 Oct 2019

Depends on make of car. The other day I saw a guy with an Aston Martin get quoted £1000 for a sensor. Some would be £50 all in. They will probably put it on their laptop to clear any codes too. £130 isn’t over the top, but never ever go to a main dealership unless absolutely necessary. I am sure if you are a regular with your chosen garage, then there shouldn’t be any issues.

What is the roughest part of Ipswich? (n/t)
at 06:15 10 Oct 2019

As a teen in the mid 80s, it was...and in reverse order.

3. Whitton Estate
2. Chantry.....bird names roads, (Kings, Kingfisher pub had bad rep, there was a nasty stabbing there in the mid 80s) the flowery name roads, not quite as bad. Nice girls from Chantry.😜
1. The dubious honour goes to.......
Queensway area, Nacton estate, thankfully I had good mates round there, so I was cool with the local lads.

Special mention to Selkirk and Renfrew Road areas of Rushmere estate.

Couldn’t tell you today the roughest part. Whitton has a better image. I would guess Jubilee Park area has bad, bad problems. Glad I don’t live in Ipswich now.

Great Yarmouth
at 14:18 8 Oct 2019

My missus and I take a one night decent B and B in Yarmouth every year for a glorified p*** up and a good laugh, but must admit its going seriously downhill, not that it was brilliant to start with, but its not the same as it once was.Its now so run down. Even when we go in mid summer it can be depressing.
