Foundation Launches LGBTQ+ Football Sessions
at 15:10:39

troyparrot's left ear - these sessions are for regular people. With your homophobic attitude, you probably wouldn't be welcome at any session.

Good to see Phil Ham still doesn't do anything about bigotry in the comments.,

Cook: One of the Toughest Days I've Had in Management
at 19:10:43

4 wins in 23 games. 22 points out of 69. Half a league season. Double that we'd have 44 points, and that sort of record sees teams relegated.

And of course last season's games count. Cook inherited a team that was just outside the playoffs, and took them into midtable. What does he say to the players?. What do our coaches do?

We've built a big squad on a big budget, and our coaching staff are a recently retired player, a kit man, and a domestic abuser who has only ever worked with U23s. The team, especially the defence, need to be working with an experienced coach to help them gel.

Bradley Set to Stay at Luton
at 15:33:27

blues1 - the transfer window being open or not, doesn't really matter at this stage, because we don't have any games until the window opens!

Town Ball 11 in Cup Draw
at 12:02:47

Yes, SuttonColdfieldBlue it's true. With no fans, police don't need 10 days notice for games, fans don't need to make arrangements, and it gets it out of the way for all but eight clubs by the end of September.

Stoke and Birmingham Linked With Jackson
at 15:23:04

With the salary cap coming in, and existing players having been defined a wage of £2k a week, it would be terrible business to sell any player earning more at this stage.

Town Linked With Vincent-Young Approach
at 18:19:51

tetchris - the two things that have changed since we last had him on trial are our manager and our division.

bluearmy_81, rabbit: According to the company accounts, Evans did originally charge interest on the legacy debt that he bought (at the same rate the original lenders were charging), but he stopped charging it in 2014, mainly around the time he stopped giving managers money for players (presumably when he lost interest in the club).

Evans Slams Academy Compensation System
at 10:32:11

Of course, the compensation rules are different between Category One clubs, and clubs like ours which are Category Two. The only difference between the categories is the amount of money you actually invest in your academy in the first place, and the ambition your owner has to pass that threshold in the first place.

Town Confirm Roberts Signing
at 11:43:32

Why do people think we're going to reinvest the Webster money, when we've not spent the Mings or Murphy cash yet?

McCarthy didn't spend four years digging up scraps from the bargain basement because he wanted to. If Hurst is to have any sort of chance of achieving something, then Evans's has to change his approach to spending. A club can only paper over the cracks for so long, before the playing side needs an overhaul.
