Paul Cook or Paul Hurst?
Starting to wonder if history is gonna repeat itself when we draw at home to Morecombe, lost at home to Newport, lost away to Burton, and lost away to Cheltenham...CHELTENHAM; this new dawn is starting to look very familiar.
It's embarrassing; we got torn apart by f*****g Cheltenham in the second half, and I know I'm gonna be told we need games to gel...if we need games to gel why did Cook change the team for Newport at home. Also I will hear the classic "Blackpool started badly last season and look what happened"...B*****ks, many, many, more teams have started this badly and finished mid table or bottom of the table. I am allowed to be p****d off and nobody can say I can't be.
I'm fearing Saturdays match, because if we get ripped up by Cheltenham FFS God help us against MK Dons. So Paul Cook find a sodding team and stick to it whatever the competition so the team can "GEL". We are supposed to have some of the best players in the league so play the players in the right positions and get the partnerships shaped.
I am not a Paul Cook out fan, but as long as these type of results continue..4 wins in 20...questions need to be asked.

Three friendlies in and already moans.
For the ill educated on here; Friendlies are used to get players up to a certain level of fitness, blend new players into the team (we have many), to try old & new tactics, and basically prepare for the incoming season.
I for one don't care if we win or lose friendlies, they are just practice matches for the coming matches that matter.
So "dirtydingwhatever" calm down, take a breath, and think before you type, because then you might sound like someone who knows about football.

We don't know the details of this contract saga.
It could be he doesn't want to stay at town for some reason; maybe he believes he's outgrown the club.
It could be he believes he's worth more money based on his extensive experience in the U23's, despite some of his teammates happily agreeing terms (who he must feel are of inferior to him).
Maybe he has always dreamed of playing in yellow & green (can't imagine why).
Or maybe Cook doesn't think his character fits into the squad, after all he seemed determined to leave, even though Ipswich put a lot of effort into coaching him up to his current level & skill to earn a chance to get offered Town contract (something all of us would dream of).
Lets face it this player is not going to be ours, may or may not turn out be a Scum first team player, or even some League 1 or 2 player in 3 years when his lucrative deal ends.
As far as I'm concerned he seems to want to leave Town and head up the road to become one of them, good riddance!
He is not the reincarnation of Maradona for Christ sake, he's an 18 year old boy who wants Premier money and will stick two fingers up at us Town fans while he sits in Naaarwich Reserves counting his cash.
I'd rather have players here who will fight for the club, the shirt, and the fans, and that's that.

I think this is a clever move by Cook, by throwing the gauntlet down to the underachievers from last season pitiful performances, he may get a couple of them to buck their ideas up.
Fair enough it may backfire with some of them, but it will show Cook and us fans which of the group actually want to stay a fight for the club...wheat from the chaff. |

These players obviously cant get motivated by anything, because they don't give two s**ts about the club that has given them a living.
Also the manager not appearing for the press conference yesterday, and then pushing Matt Gill out to do all the talking after that stinking pile of rubbish, seems to show the "I view football as a fan" nonsense he chirped up a while ago is a complete load of b****cks as a true fan relies on the manager to inform them of the club status.
Unless he's ill, Cook is showing a little lack of character by not walking out and explaining the poor performance of his team, and of course starting the rumours of him looking to quit, which doesn't help the morale of the fans.
If he is looking to leave it will show that he was not up to the job of getting a adequate team on the pitch.
After this week I was hoping to comment on the delight of the fans with the takeover completing, but now I'm still as low as I was on Monday after the Rochdale match.

WTF was that.
Ipswich were poor in every area of the pitch today, we couldn't seem to win the 50/50 balls, we couldn't compete with the aggressive nature of the Accrington Stanley players, and had no creativity what so ever.
I struggled to understand the team picked, Dozzel instead of Huws, and Judge alongside Jackson instead of Keane. I had no issue with Gwion playing, but he was out muscled by the opposition players to easily.
Nsiala for me was the worst player we had on the pitch, he had no idea what he was doing, couldn't mark, tackle, clear, or pass. I hope Lambert thinks twice next time he puts him in the team.
All In all nothing worked for us today, whether it was because we lost momentum due to cancelling the game during the international break, the fact we barely ever win when we are on TV, poor team selection, or the start time, I don't know. All I know is we have to perform much better on Wednesday, or we could start seeing us slip like Sunderland, and Portsmouth last season.

As much as I like Keane signing for us, I'm concerned about his injury proneness.
I'd hope Town have a pay as you play contract, otherwise we could (I hope not) be lumbered with another player who we get barely a handful of games out of.

My God!!!
Some of you guys on here need to take their goddamn happy pills. For weeks on TWTD I've read mainly negative comments every time a new story comes in, and it really shows some of the people on here seem to have a hard on for Town to fail miserably this season.
I for one will support Paul Lambert, the players, and the club that I love, as we need to show the team the same spirit that we had at the end of last season.
