They have an end of season party that’s well worth going to as well. Similar line up but costs about £75 a ticket including the van pass for 3 nights. Proper grass roots festival with like minded music loving people |

The Tea Tent is where it’s at at BT. Tarantism Disco, Nick Parker, Star Botherers, Abdoujaparov plus the Beardy Keith Memorial Uke Jam all excellent as well as Attila & Mark Thomas |

Blackburn are signing that American. Maybe we’re back in for Gallagher? |

It’s a bit like Ellis Simms at £8.5m. He cost nowhere like that much, but with add ons it could reach that sum. I expect Gallagher is circa £1M with the rest of the fee related to promotion and games played. They want his wages off their books too, otherwise they would have triggered his 12 month extension |

Anyone who has come for the past 2 years and stops coming next year if we don’t get promoted will be replaced by others waiting for a season ticket. We may well lose players or the manager, but it will be for significant fees that can be reinvested in the squad. That’s the one thing that we just can’t do now with ffp |

Because he wasn’t at the top of the list obviously. I guess that Stansfield was that man. He is clearly on the list and looks like will be one of two coming in this week, along with Gallagher. He will probably be one used from the bench rather than starting initially, but appears to be happy to chase which frankly Ladapo couldn’t. He’s also pretty prolific, albeit at a lower level, but as others have pointed out, there are good players to be found in League 2 |

It might make a big difference depending on the draw. £125k, plus half of another gate and maybe another TV game could easily be £500k lost. That could be the difference between getting Gallagher or not. We huffed and puffed, but didn’t create lots of great chances in the last 20 minutes. Walton, Aluko, Taylor, Broadhead were very poor indeed |

It’s probably a bit of both to be honest. Selling someone like Davis to West Ham in January for £15m with say £5m up front and getting Cresswell on loan to the end of the season would give us an extra £5m to spend on players and wages that month. If we let others go like Ladapo then we can add in the wage savings too. Short term loans are easier to do & cheaper as well as it’s only a matter of wages to cover for a few months. Diallo from Man Utd is one that lots of teams will be after |

It’s something like a loss of £39m over 3 years, but the last 2 years in League One are counted as well, so we don’t have huge amounts of headroom is the likelihood. |

I assume that we can, but would have to sell by a certain date to comply with ffp & would need to receive enough up front to comply too. Hopefully any incoming deals will be spread over the contract meaning only some of the fee counts this year [Post edited 28 Dec 2023 14:36]

They are unbeaten in 16 games, yet only accrued 6 more points than us in that period, 38 to our 32. I’d take being 1 point behind them with 6 games to go well clear of the others. |
