Breakaway goal by Leeds tonight
at 21:28 22 Apr 2024

And not a lot else from them tbh.

The score line totally flatters Leeds.

I know people said about KM on the phone
at 20:51 22 Apr 2024

Exactly!!

If only Town had adopted a slightly more cautious approach at Elland road we might have got something from the game. The same can be said when playing against scum too. We struggle to defend against counter attacking sides.

ONLY 2500 tickets being allocated by Coventry ?

I suspect Coventry don’t want Town fans making it a home game for our lads do they!

well, here's my predictions on those games

Leicester vs WBA (draw)
Cardiff vs Saints ( away win)
Boro vs Leeds (draw)
Leicester vs Saints (away win)

What do others think ?

I just have a nagging doubt that we’ve drawn too many games this season
at 19:45 14 Apr 2024

A lot of those drawn games have come at home when we’ve been in total control of games only to concede a goal to the opposition, usually in the first opportunity to attack, and we’ve not defended the ball coming into our box! We’ve then spent the majority of the game trying to get back on level terms. We concede too many goals at home ( double that of our promotion rivals). The response ,” well that’s because we play such an attacking game and that’s the side effect of our style of play “, is frankly, a load of old tosh.

Our defence should be able to deal with the ball when it comes into our box. But we don’t do it very well and have conceded soft goals on too many occasions this season. Yesterday’s goal against was once again during a period of Town dominance, and yet again conceded on the right side of our box. That’s a Fact I’m afraid! It was yet again POOR defending. Interesting that no one raised that point on here. It’s laughable defending from the defensive messiah to some of you on here. But he’s such a golden bollox to you ,that you refuse to acknowledge his defensive deficiencies.

I said months ago our weak defending could potentially cost us. I’m hoping to God that it doesn’t but the original poster is not wrong in his comments. But as usual on here, if you have a view that differs from the clique, you’re abused for it. When we’ve scored multiple goals that defensive weakness is papered over, and fair few on here either refuse to see that weakness or are simply blind to it.

If we are even on points at the end of the season it’s the play offs for us, and quite likely against the scum : and we all should be aware of the likely outcome of that. 20points ahead of them or not , it would be a criminal outcome IMHO , just because we can bloody defend properly!

Down arrow away fellas. Couldn’t give a crap now.

Completely the opposite is true I’m afraid. A better GD is worth an extra point.

Yes our GD could well shoot us in the foot, given how close it is at the top. You can’t get away from the fact we have conceeded double the amount of goals at home as our rivals at the top of the division.

I’ve said time and again we defend balls into our box poorly. Most goals against us are scored in the right side of our 18yard area, often with the opponents first real attack against us and when we’ve been on top : dominant. It happened again yesterday. Make up your own minds.

Why all the changes?
at 18:58 13 Apr 2024

The squad have been running on vapours for a few weeks now, and there’s been illness in the camp. It’s about who can remain standing frankly, and raise their game just a little bit more. I’ve watched Leeds and Leicester this week, and they both look dead on their feet. Especially Leicester.

Southampton could quite conceivably be ahead of us
at 18:29 13 Apr 2024

We just need to get another win because I think Leicester will lose again. Then match Leeds and we’re up. I think we’ll do better away from home .. slightly less pressure in my view.

Great crowd from us today though . Much better than Watford game. One more win Town…. And of course don’t lose any of the last 3 games.

Subs have disrupted us
at 18:15 13 Apr 2024

We’ve lost the wow factor from the subs bench because most of them are playing from the start. The players are running in vapours right now. I hope the two week break helps them ….

Is this advantageous to Leeds United
at 08:41 12 Apr 2024

It underlines McKenna’s and this squads approach of concentrating solely on ourselves. If we pay no attention to others but ourselves, and focus on our next game, it doesn’t matter what opponents do, it shouldn’t affect our approach to,that game.

We “just” need to win all our games, then we’re UP!

Hladky backpedal save!
at 21:01 11 Apr 2024

Not sure I’d call the shot a fluke. I saw their player look up, spot Hldaky way off his line, and took a brilliant shot on goal. It was met with an equally brilliant back pedalling save by our keeper too. Both actions 100% intentional.

I think the current sorting office set up is just ridiculous. But like so many public services, there’s the school of thought that “ centralisation “ is somehow more efficient. It might be saving money re infrastructure and less employees doing mire, bug in terms of quality of service the reverse is often true.
