| News Comment | Town Place Norwood on Transfer List at 13:53:28
He's the human personification of the football club at the point in time when he was signed - an absolute steaming mess, lacking in all sense of identity and direction. The football club has turned itself around, Norwood hasn't, time to cut ties and move on. The King is dead (Norwood), long live the King (Bonne). |
| News Comment | McGuinness: My Aim is to Play at the Highest Level But My Current Focus is Only On Ipswich at 13:46:30
Who remembers when loanees would say "I want to play at the highest level and hopefully I can help get Ipswich promoted and do that with Town". Now there's a big chunk of relism that most players will have finished their career by the time Ipswich are next in the top flight. Thanks Paul and Marcus....destined to leave the same kind of legaacy as Boris Johnson. |
| News Comment | Former Blue Palmer on University Challenge at 09:48:17
Anyone remember the friendly that Ipswich used to play against Cambridge University on Fenners in Cambridge, every year, pre-season? Every year I'd go down there with my autpgraph book...it was the cohort of Theo Theodoru and the Gregory brothers et al. Used to be a really good opportunity to meet some of your heroes. Can't imagien it happens any more, shame, that kind of thing always made players accessible. |
| News Comment | Town Confirm Stream Details for Spurs and West Ham at 13:09:04
Don't know how you can judge if it was value or not, yet?? If the game turns out to be a 6-5 last minute win over Spurs, with Mourinho losing the plot and knocking Lambert out on the touchline, with Lambert having to be brought round using smelling salts and a few slaps to the face....it would be the best £10 you ever spent. If Town get smashed 6-0 and look thoroughly woeful, you'd have probably felt better by donating it to charity. We wait and see.............. |
| News Comment | Town Keen on Keogh at 14:24:58
Jesus wept, what has happened to our club? Signing a has been that is clearly not a good influence on the youngsters in the squad. This sums up where we are as a club nowadays....gutter. |
| News Comment | Town Launch Sustainable Away Kit at 14:57:03
charity sponsor on the front. Shout out to teh NHS on the back. Environmentally friendly shirt. We might be crap at football but at least we can say we habe some morals...which is better than being crap at football AND having no morals. |
| News Comment | Lambert: The Uncertainty's Incredible at 12:26:05
@suffolkboy - you're not Dom are you? "Well they were old and would probably have died anyway. The ones who are left will have stronger genes and therefore the population, moving forward will be better prepared". Just cos WE aren't one of the ones likely to fold, it's no excuse to just bin off any other teams? |
| News Comment | Forrest: We Thought We'd Try to Do What We Could as Volunteers at 14:12:42
As a child, I remember so clearly watching Forrest...his high pitched canadian accent "keiipurs" when coming for a ball. His goal kicks used to go as high as they did long. happy days. Those keeprs jerseys were brilliant as well. |
| News Comment | Lambert: We're Still Looking at Free Transfers at 16:13:29
It's good that we aren't going after lots of aging loanees, and maybe the yoot will get a chance, which is long overdue. The current state of the club is down to ME though, so let's not look at him as some great philanthropist who's generously funding our club to the tune of a few million every year. |
| News Comment | McGoldrick Back With Town at 13:30:22
Was it not a bit short sighted of the club to not add any bonus payments for Cressy playing for England/x amount of international appearances/World cup place etc? Was it the case that the club didn't rate him to that level? I would have thought it was likely that Cressy (and Tyrone one day) would play for England? |
| News Comment | Away Ticket Price Cap Agreed With 12 Clubs at 12:15:39
My guess is that Leeds would definitely be on the list, no? Surely if you support a 'big' team like them with a strong away following you are constantly hit with the "category A match" therefore pay higher away prices? I would have thought Leeds fans would welcome this? (i might have the wrong end of teh stick though) |
