A game of two halves. The manager was brave to make the half time changes, but they worked. We looked good second half, positive, enthusiastic, hard-working. Last 15 mins, it was top-of-the-table Brentford who were hanging on for a point.

A terribly disjointed first half performance by Town, Ward and Spence particularly poor, the former playing much better within a reshaped rejuvenated second half team formation. Pennington was my MOM and it was good to have Donacien back in the side, while Gerken did more than enough to keep Bart on the bench.
It is a learning curve for Manager Hurst, got his fingers burnt by trying a new formation in the first half, but in my opinion using the wrong team selection. The second half performance against a very good Brentford side gave us supporters a very enjoyable spectacle, and hope for a first win of the season on Saturday?

Very well put by harlingblue. I would have taken Ward off at half time - second half he showed glimpses of his ability, but still showed that often it's by accident and that he doesn't have the hunger or desire to win the ball and do something with it. No idea why he took Harrison off. Nolan and Spence should be nowhere near the first team. Gerken made some good saves - but Bart commands the defence better and they need that - they were a shambles at times and no one berating them.
I really hope Hurst stops experimenting soon - why was a right footed right back playing left wing back first half when we have several other players more naturally suited there.
As encouraging as the second half was, it still highlighted one thing - we are crying out for Huws. Chalobah is poor, Nolan is poor. We didn't put the ball on the deck and pass it about at all, we just booted it over the top for Jackson (and his tireless running).

Very poor tactics from the manager first half. Should have changed it almost immediately. Having said that boys played well with the changers that Paul Hurst did make at half time. Brentford looked good on the ball and perhaps should have buried us before half time. Had them on the ropes for a bit in the second half but in a strange way that actually was when they had there best chances. Overall pleased with the second half display.

For what we are - a middle of the first division - we played well in the second half.
Once more the admin side of the Club let us down. With only 14000 fans attending they still sold out of programmes 30 minutes before K.O. This after not bothering to open all the turnstiles against West Ham !

I guess they are all settling down to play in division one next season
