Well at least we won. The back line , goalkeeper included were very poor apart from Woolfenden. Midfield if there is a better pairing than Skuse and Downes in this league then I will eat my hat. The new winger from spurs looked sharp and what a difference when we went with two up top. Very pleased fro Kayden to get off the mark and how defences must hate the thought of facing Norwood. We may not have played well , but at least it was exciting.

Starting with what should have been a 4-3-3 soon materialised as a 4-5-1 and with it saw the potency nullified until finally we woke up on the hour with the introduction of a 2nd striker. We looked solid in the first half without really creating anything until Dozzell showed us what he can do with an inch perfect through ball to Norwood who was thwarted by an excellent save by Trott in the Wimbledon goal. Donacian looked all at sea throughout and was sucked out of position enabling Wimbledon to take the lead. The introduction of our three sub turned the game and has saved Lambert from a proper lambasting from the fans this evening for changing the system. Take the : poi ts and mice on to bolton. As Mike Bassett said once it’s 4-4-F***ing-2. Please

The ref was much better than this rating. He was decisive when his linesman was not. Without that we would not have scored our first goal. One up front simply invites the opposition to press which Wimbledon did until common sense prevailed. 94 minute goals are heaven !!

Well that was hard work, but in the end a welcomed 3 points.
The first half was dire, no hard pressing from the Town, our play was laboured and lacking any passion or tactical nous. Our fullbacks had no confidence to attack, while Dozzell, who should have been our playmaker was anonymous, only Downes, Skuse, Woolfenden and to a lesser extent El Mizouni were worthy of any real credit in a half that saw us 1-0 down.
The introduction of Georgiou at the start of the second half, was a instant success, but it was not until a change of system during the second half...back to 4-4-2, with Jackson and Judge joining the fray, that Town finally got to grips with the game, pushed for a result, and finally won it with two late goals, from the STRIKING PAIR Norwood and Jackson. PL please don't tinker too much, find the true formation, and stick with it?

Talk about a game of two halves. First was dreadful with little pressing, no real intent to get forward with both fullbacks lacking ideas. Rowe eventually drifted inside to get into the game as he looked to make impact but got no help from Donacian. Shame really as Rowe could have made a difference.
Georgiou wow! he looks every bit a proper left winger and could make huge difference to the team. Well done whoever spotted/recommended him and arranged his loan. Maybe better than previous loans over last few seasons!
Anyway thank goodness PL realised that 442 is only way forward and while I take his point that Jackson needed a rest, it just showed that we need TWO up front. Norwood must have partner so hope other strikers will get back soon. I guess that Keane will need a few games but he could be great addition.

If they all come for a max 0-0 then ist going to be a fun Season. Few defensive Errors were expensive again. The three Subs glowed amazingly under the flooodlights. Singing was tremendous throughout. two up front is a definite...……….roll on Shrewsbury.

Thought the ref was good....5.3 seems really harsh.
Donacien's rating seems a bit high...
Other than that...ratings match. Downes and Skuse both very good but seems Georgiou won man of the match according to this...
