Your v Match Reports

Stop for a moment and think back to before the first match against Fulham ;what opinions have you formed about this referee over previous seasons and experience ?I guess I'm not the only one who had ,and still has, doubts about his all round consistency and competence ! Too often incidents and games simply get away from him.The McGoldrick tackle was a dreadful example of a man and assistants completely lacking any ability to truly analyse what had happened ( and to deal appropriately) ,and here we've yet another example of dilatory decision making , and inaction actually causing the game to deteriorate and player frustration, inexcusable as it was, to bring about most unfortunate consequences.

Its time the Referees & Assts. put themselves up for proper scrutiny ,and explained openly ,honestly and fearlessly just how these below par performances are becoming so regular .

It's a shame we lost ,but in this manner ,it leaves more than regret ,and increasing distaste and disbelief in our refereeing fraternity.Theyve a difficult job,but are not prepared to admit failings ,or errors OR importantly tell us what they do,or intend to do,to improve judgements and actions !

Across football at every level it seems that Refereeing decision making is becoming not much more than a lottery !Change is desperately needed , and the recognition of 'danger ' in all its aspects sorely needs improvement .
Spence is a fool ,but the match team should eat humble pie too,and publicly ( not likely to happen ).
