Town Face Whistle Action
Town Face Whistle Action
Tuesday, 20th Sep 2005 10:05

The Blues will face action from the FA over the whistling from the crowd during Sunday's match with Norwich. Referee Lee Mason has included the incident in his match report.

During the first half, Norwich striker Kevin Lisbie stopped when well placed inside the Town area after hearing a whistle which turned out to have come from the stands.

Town chief executive Derek Bowden says that Mason reporting the incident means Town will face a censure of some kind: "The FA will no doubt take some sort of action. That could be a written warning, as we have not suffered this before, or it could well be a fine.

"The person has not been caught but we will be viewing CCTV. The stewards will be briefed before the next game to be vigilant for this but we would also appeal to out fans to act if they see the person responsible."
