1500 - 3500 Tickets for Cup Match
1500 - 3500 Tickets for Cup Match

Morecambe are likely to offer Town more seats for January's third round Cup tie than originally expected. Club spokesman Stuart Forrest told TWTD: "I would imagine there will be between 1500 and 3500 tickets for Ipswich fans."

There is however controversy surrounding the Lancashire club's apparent decision to charge £25 per adult seat. Some sources are suggesting that this is across the board, although a statement from Morecambe merely said: "[prices] will range from £25 for adults to £10 for children. Full details will be released via the local press".

This may suggest that there will be tickets at other prices other than £25, but we will wait and see. If this is the case it is interesting to note that it will cost Town fans more to watch Morecambe than it will cost them to watch Manchester United (£23).

Prices are yet to be agreed with Town and the Blues may be unwilling to let our fans pay this much to watch the game, particularly given the cost of travel to this far-flung part of the country.

Morecambe are to look at getting temporary structures in place at Christie Park to increase the capacity to more than the current 6,200.

More on this later today we reckon.

Town are being linked in the Sun and other places with Chalrton's Scott Parker. The England U21 midfielder was recently on loan at Norwich where he made six appearances, scoring one goal. The 20-year-old player, more of an attacking midfielder than defensive, has played just nine full games for Charlton with a further 24 outings as sub. He has scored one Charlton goal.

The player is thought to be highly rated at Charlton and was called back from his loan at Norwich due to a midfield crisis at the Valley. It seems unlikely that he would be a Town target and Charlton would certainly seek to get top dollar for a player they see as one for the future.

Fabian Wilnis will miss out on Saturday due to suspension. The full-back picked up his fifth booking in the game with Derby and misses one game. Gary Croft looks likely to be his replacement.
