Town's FA Youth Cup-winning U18 side will play a Lowestoft Town XI on Sunday, August 7th as part of their pre-season programme. The match is a testimonial for stalwart Trawlerman Ian Smith.

Lowestoft will field a past and present line-up against the Town youngsters.

The Youth Cup is expected to be on show at the game. Nine of the Town eleven which faced Southampton in the final are eligible to play in the competition next season, only Shane Supple and Aidan Collins will be unavailable to Bryan Klug.

Town's U18s will be out to repeat their feat of winning the Dutch Jeugdtoernooi van VV Doetinchem on the weekend of August 12th, 13th and 14th. The Blues have won the tournament for the last two years.

The other sides at this year's tournament are Dutch clubs Vitesse, FC Twente and De Graafschap, Germans Schalke 04 and Kaiserslautern, Czechs Slavia Prague, and Nottingham Forest.
