Town have appointed Anna Hughes as the club's new finance director. Hughes joins the club after working as an independent consultant to the British Museum.

Having qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in 1991, Hughes has been working as an independent consultant since 1998, her clients including Tate Modern, Cambridge-MIT Institute Ltd and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Club chief executive Derek Bowden said of the new appointment: "Anna brings with her a wealth of experience in strategic financial management from a diverse range of businesses outside football.

"I am delighted that she has decided to join us. As our business continues to expand into new areas I'm sure her experience will benefit us hugely."

Hughes says she will look to continue the work of the club's previous financial director: "My predecessor Mike Cooper has seen the club through and out of administration. I need now to sustain his good work by acting in partnership with all areas of the business to build the club's future.

"My challenge will be to meet the club's long and short-term objectives - strengthening the finances whilst helping to build the platform for ITFC's football successes."
