Bent Toffees Link Again
Bent Toffees Link Again

Sunday's tabloids are again linking Everton with Town striker Darren Bent. TWTD first reported that the Toffeemen were keeping an eye on the Town striker just prior to the transfer window shutting at the end of August.

The Blues turned down a bid of £3 million from Charlton for the England U21 frontman and reportedly slapped a £5 million pride-tag on his head.

Elsewhere, Town are being linked with moves for Crystal Palace striker Dougie Freedman and West Brom centre-half Darren Moore.

With finances still tight, any interest Town might have in either player is likely to be on a loan basis rather than a permanent deal.

Freedman, 30, has started one game for the Eagles this season and has also made one substitute appearance. Moore, also 30, has come of the West Brom bench three times during 2004/05.
