Town will open their 2004/05 promotion campaign with a home game against Gillingham on Saturday, August 7th. The first away trip is on the following Wednesday, when the Blues take on old boy David Johnson's Nottingham Forest.

The rest of August sees games against Derby (away), Cardiff (home), Rotherham (away) and then Wolves at home, as well as the first round tie of the Carling Cup which will be drawn next Thursday.

Christmas Eve sees a trip to Millwall with West Ham at Portman Road on New Year's Day. The long trip to Plymouth will be on the following Bank Holiday Monday, New Year's Day being a Saturday in 2005.

Blues fans will be glad to hear that the trips to Sunderland, Wigan and Burnley are all Saturday afternoon matches. Town face Burnley on November 6th, the Black Cats on November 20th and Wigan on March 5th.

A number of international weekends have been left free of Coca-Cola Championship (Division One) matches which will be good news for the Blues, particularly with Jason De Vos likely to face a heavy schedule with Canada.

The Blues end the season facing a number of the sides also likely to be in contention for promotion. Derby and Rotherham visit Portman Road at the beginning of April before a trip to Wolves. Sunderland come to Town before the Blues travel to Elland Road to face Leeds.

The final two weekends of the season see fixtures against Crewe (home) and at Brighton and Hove Albion's temporary Withdean Stadium, a game which only a handful of Town fans will be able to attend.

TWTD is unable to carry the full list of fixtures due to the cost involved. However, they are available here.
