Ndaba's Loan Side Killie Qualify For Europe
Sunday, 12th May 2024 10:07

Blues central defender Corrie Ndaba helped Kilmarnock to confirm their place in next season’s Europa League second qualifying round via a 1-0 Scottish Premiership win at St Mirren yesterday.

The result meant that the Buddies can no longer catch Killie in fourth place, sealing the Rugby Park club’s place in Europe next season with two games to go.

Republic of Ireland U19 call-up Ndaba has enjoyed an impressive season in Scotland, making 25 starts and 10 sub appearances, largely at left-back.

The 24-year-old, who has previously had spells out on loan at Hemel Hempstead, Chelmsford, Ayr United, Salford, Burton and Fleetwood, is contracted to the Blues until the summer of 2025 with the club having an option for a further season.

Dubliner Ndaba has made four senior starts and one sub appearance for Town but is still to make his league debut for the club.

Meanwhile, former Blues midfielder Andre Dozzell, 25, has been released by QPR after three years at Loftus Road, having spent the second half of this season on loan at Birmingham.

A bit of a surprise about Dozzell,he'll probably end up signing for a league one club. Was never quite good enough at championship level.

With JD likely to leave in the summer I wonder if now is the chance for Ndaba to take the step up as first reserve. We're not blessed with much full-back cover, esp on the left. Re AD I still think there is a player there, and if anyone was going to realise that potential it's Keiron

No disrespect to either player but don't think there will be a place for them in Premier league squad.

Has fallen under the radar a bit but obviously ahead of Baggott in terms of development playing at a much higher level. I think Dozzell is a player that will probably drift from club to club because of his limited all round ability.

Is Scottish Premier outside the top 3 or 4 about equal to lower Championship / higher Div 1- on crowds yes?
Kilmarnock have obviously had some good results this year on a plastic pitch but no idea how they play and whether Ndaba could be an asset, fortunately we have a man who knows exactly whether Ndaba will be good enough or not.
Dozzell could go back to Birmingham if Mowbray returns

Only one person's opinion will count on Ndaba , I am sure KM will have the best idea if he is going to make it to PL standard.
Some of the reports have been good and alot of players we have sent up there have not cut it.

Agreed only one man's opinion on Ndaba counts. Killing are certainly above typical championship level, so he has a chance to impress. At worst he will probably be on loan in championship, but KM will know. That's KM strength, working with and developing players. Either way, congratulations to Ndaba. He's on the up.
