Blues Among Clubs Reportedly Eyeing Kilmarnock Youngster
Thursday, 22nd Feb 2024 14:43

Town are reported to be one of a number of Championship clubs keeping tabs on Kilmarnock youngster Bobby Wales, who is currently on loan with Alloa.

The 18-year-old striker has netted seven in his last eight games for the Clackmannanshire-based club, who play in Scottish League One.

And, according to the Daily Record, the Blues, Leeds United and Stoke City are among the clubs to have taken note of the 6ft 2in tall Scotland U19 international’s form.

Wales, who was born in Hurlford, has made two senior starts and two sub appearances for his Scottish Premiership parent side, where Blues central defender Corrie Ndaba is spending the season on loan.

Yes please, if only we can say we’ve had Holland, Brazil, Scotland and Wales on our books.

@exeterblue10 - You could add Martin Brittain (2006-7) to the list too, with only one minor appearance for the club.

@exeterblue100- you deserve your votes for the humour, I would add 'yes, please' if he is half as good as some of those you've mentioned.

If he's any good,we could do part exchange for Ndaba.

The club is currently short of good central defenders and Ndaba is playing regular Scottish premier football and Baggott can't get in the Bristol Rovers team im not a rocket scientist but to me that puts Ndaba ahead of Baggott in terms of first team potential. If this lad was playing regularly for Kilmarnock i would be interested but surely he has to be premier league potential if we are going to sign him we're not in league one now where do they get these stories from.

Most Scottish Premier league clubs sign a fair few of their players from league one,so in my mind the standard up there is not much above league 1,with the exception of Celtic & Rangers.
