Town and AFC Bournemouth have agreed a loan deal for striker Kieffer Moore with the move to be confirmed if the Cherries confirm the addition of Getafe's Enes Űnal on loan.

Another striker has been the priority for the Blues on deadline day having already added Ali Al-Hamadi earlier in the week.

Sky Sports’ Mark McAdam was first to report that the deal is done, which TWTD understands is the case, once the Dorset club confirm the signing of Űnal. A medical is currently ongoing in Madrid. The deal is understood to include bonuses should Town win promotion.

The Blues appear to have fought off opposition from a number of other Championship clubs, including Sunderland and another of his former clubs Cardiff, to land the 31-year-old.

Moore was previously at Town from a year from January 2017 but made only 11 sub appearances without scoring.

Capped 39 times by Wales, scoring 12 times, Moore had been recruited from then-National League Forest Green Rovers for £25,000 having been on loan at Torquay, also a fifth tier side, prior to his move.

The 6ft 5in tall striker’s career really took off during a loan spell with Rotherham, then in League One, in the first half of 2017/18 - having impressed as a sub for Town against the Millers the previous season - and in the January moved on to Barnsley, also in League One, for £750,000.

Spells in the Championship with Wigan and Cardiff followed, as well as senior Wales caps, before Moore moved on to AFC Bournemouth for a fee which could ultimately rise to £5 million in January 2022 and helped the Cherries to promotion to the Premier League.

However, his opportunities have been limited over the last two seasons, the Torquay-born striker has made only 15 starts and 29 sub appearances for the Dorset side in total, scoring 10 goals, and it was always expected he would move on to a Championship side during this window.

Westy added 13:27 - Feb 1 Remember Kieffer Moore playing for Town before and he didn't set the World alight, but just started to make an impact then if memory serves me correctly suffered a bad rib injury and never really made a full come back before departing, but he will have better players around him now than then and Kieffer himself is a better player. Would link up well with Wes and Nathan if this is confirmed.

Europablue added 13:28 - Feb 1 At first glance, it felt like a bad fit. A permanent transfer would be bad business because we don't have that kind of cash unless we get promoted. An ex-player, so that always fuels speculation. The other thing is that he doesn't really seem suited to the Hirst role, but actually, he has something that we have lacked and gives another dimension to our attacking threat with crosses and headers. Welcome back. Let's see how he gets one and we can consider whether a permanent deal makes sense in the summer.

Even if we drop out of second place, we'll be stronger for the playoffs with Hirst back (hopefully), Al Hamedi with Plenty of Championship minutes under his belt, & the experience of Moore up front.

Another amazing spot from him - 25k from National League that he effectively set on the path to a Premier League and International career, like Mings. Let's hope McKenna is doing just the same for Al-Hamadi.

KM is excelling with great support, but I wouldn't think he could have done much better or even any better than MM in the circumstances. KM has a higher ceiling in my opinion. MM was at best a bottom of the Prem manager, whereas KM has the potential to be a top of the Prem manager. I don't know how you could argue that MM was not a good specialist at keeping teams up and running clubs on a small budget.

Suffolkboy added 14:27 - Feb 1 Nothing at all to now be gained by rehearsing the negative ; M M was of incredible honesty and thoroughly dedicated but ITFC weren’t blessed with any talent at all at the very top of the Club Management.What he did was spot ,buy and trade on at excellent profit some really good individual talent . Moore was in that number and it’ll be excellent to see him now ,under KM being redirected and properly served as a Centre Forward by an energised , tremendously fit and disciplined group . MA and KM will have been working so very hard to recruit in this window ; options just don’t always fall in your lap .but we can be assured KM will have no excuse to fail with us ! chepstowblue added 14:27 - Feb 1 I was at his debut for us in 2017, and it seemed that all he needed was a squeaky red nose and we'd have our very own clown. Thankfully he's much improved since those days and has developed into a terrific target man with decent quality on the deck. But I want us to play to his strengths, use the element of surprise , and put a few high balls into the box. We've become formulaic over the last month. This gives us a nice option to vary things.
