Adult Tickets For Maidstone FA Cup Tie £10
Monday, 15th Jan 2024 17:19

Adult tickets for the FA Cup fourth round tie against Maidstone United on Saturday 27th January will cost £10, while the National League South side have taken their full 15 per cent allocation, meaning they will have the whole of the upper tier of the Cobbold Stand (KO 12.30pm).

Competition rules allow away clubs to take up to 15 per cent of the a ground’s capacity and therefore the Stones will have the upper tier of the Cobbold Stand plus Block S of the lower, a total of 4,480 seats.

As a result, home fans who usually sit in the upper tier of the Cobbold Stand will have to sit elsewhere.

Season ticket holders will be able to buy their tickets from Wednesday.

Great stuff - sensible pricing. I'm really looking forward to this game - should be a good atmosphere.

An impressive away following if they have taken up all those seats. Agree the pricing is reasonable. I suppose this means Blue Action will have to move - suggest the BR, where they should be able to improve the support from the home crowd by getting the rest of the BR to join in - well some of them, anyway.

Hopefully our supporters will turn out in numbers for this one and we have a full house.

So as a ST holder I can’t buy my seat even though it’s not in Upper Cobbold Am I reading that right. All seats available to all ST holders ????

Pleased with this - sensible pricing. Expect Maidstone will sell their full allocation. If they do, will they also be given the remainder of the Cobbold Lower? Would be great to fill the stadium but a minimum of 20,000 I would say is guaranteed.

Xx1 you can buy your season ticket seat if you done sit in cobbold upper and block s. Only those in cobbold have to move. Unless you want to sit in cobbold lower. Not block s.

Yes I read this the same as you do. I think the point is that Season Tickets don't apply for Cup games other than giving you first choice of anywhere in the stadium of those available to home supporters.

For this first ticket window does it mean you can only buy your own seat, and more importantly no one else can buy your seat in that first sakes window on Wednesday? Thanks for any info …

If this is the same as other cup games. In the first window season ticket holders can buy their seats or non season ticket seats. Once closed all season ticket seats not sold become available to season ticket holders and members in the second window. Then third window is a free for all. That is how it has worked in other cup games.

Ah, brilliant thank you so much for that. I was just a bit worried I’d miss getting my seat as I work in a clinical situation and might not be able to get on the phone at 10am … least I’ll have a little window of opportunity…. Thanks again

Different for this one people, all season ticket seats are open to ALL season ticket holders, meaning another season ticket holder can buy another season ticket holders seat.

They can’t ‘hold’ them like usual as wouldn’t be fair on the STH’s from the Cobbold Upper.

I personally don’t sit in my ST seat for cup games and take the opportunity to sit somewhere else so I can’t either potentially upset a couple of people or wait until Friday

Nice if we could give Maidstone all gate money but greedy FA won't allow we need to remember where we've been

Fair prices from Town better than fulham charging Newcastle 40quid for their cup match.

Due to relocation of Cobbold season ticket holders the only fair system was felt to be a free for all for season ticket holders. The vast majority will just opt for their own seats so actually it is only the cobbold ticket holders who will suffer. I will assume that ALL seats - both season and non season tick allocated seats, will be available.

I agree with foreverthebeat. Does it really matter where you sit for a one-off cup match (sorry, maybe a couple more if we progress!) Personally, I like to take the opportunity to have a change of scene and usually book in a different stand to my season ticket.

Seen a few comments over differing platforms saying about giving Maidstone all the gate money. sorry but ITFC are not a charity , it,s costs money to put a game on with costs such staff, energy , policing , and while the sentiment is a good one, we are not a club / buisness that can just give away 100K a line with most buisness, that money would have to come from somewhere else. Maidstone will be getting 200K + (TV + gate money) so they are doing fine for travelling on up for the day.

Forever the beat Why oh why would we give Maidstome all the gate receipts, and lose money ourselves? We still have to pay for stewards, security staff, any policing required, catering staff, etc. Maidstone will get a good amount of money from the game anyway. Sire they'll be more than happy with that.

Average attendance for Maidstone is sporadic at around 1-3K, with 4k against Stevenage at home last round and exception. 4.5k is going to be a club record and some party for them, win or lose!
Lets put on a good show for them!

@ThaiBlue - sure, however consider £40 is also around the cost of half a pint of beer in the Fulham area.
