Leeds and Leicester Games on Sky
Thursday, 9th Nov 2023 13:08

Town’s Championship games away against Leeds United and at home to Leicester City over the Christmas period have changed kick-off times due to live Sky coverage.

The Saturday 23rd December match against the Whites, who are currently third, eight points behind the Blues, at Elland Road will now kick-off at the earlier time of 12.30pm so the game is shown live by the satellite broadcaster.

The Boxing Day fixture with the Foxes, who lead Town by three points at the top of the table, at Portman Road will now start at 7.45pm rather than 3pm as had been scheduled.

Town are on Sky Sports on a number of occasions between now and the New Year.

West Brom (A) – Saturday 25th November – 5.30pm (Sky Sports)
Millwall (H) – Wednesday 29th November – 8pm (Sky Sports)
Watford (A) – Tuesday 12th December – 7.45pm (TownTV & Sky Sports Arena)
Norwich City (H) – Saturday 16th December – 12.30pm (Sky Sports)
Leeds United (A) - Saturday 23th December - 12.30pm (Sky Sports)
Leicester City (H) - Tuesday 26th December - 7.45pm (Sky Sports)

I think I'm going to cancel my monthly Town tv sub. Seems pointless atm to have that and Now streaming at 30 quid a pop for each when it's only available on one. Might as well do the tenner for one off Town tv sub. Btw I'm abroad so can still catch the 3,00 Saturday matches. The trouble with being a good team!

Me too Lightningboy. It's been a decision to do a Nowtv sub not made lightly.

Town fans moan for years we dont get enough coverage then moan when we are on 5 times in a couple of months, cant quite get my head around it? - NowTV is 30 quid and TownTV is £20 for the international subscription. Cant see the problem to be honest. What does 50 quid get you these days? - Roll on I say.

Churchman’s - you ask what is wrong with a 7.45 ko on Boxing Day ? How about, family day mucked up, coaches for home and away supporters may not run, the few public buses that run stop around 5.00pm, can’t drink during the day, shift workers shafted. May suit the young and free but not the ones with family responsibilities. Some traditions are worth breaking but this is not.

Even in the Premier League , I can't imagine we've EVER played live on SKY six times within a month!!!!

I've signed up to Sky Sports through NowTV - half price offer for 3 months at £14.99 a month. Normally I'll just buy a 24 hour pass if we have an away match live on Sky.

From the squad's point of view this adds about 8 hours of extra recovery time over Christmas which I would imagine is a good thing.

If I watch the game on sly I will miss 3 episodes of EastEnders and 2 episodes of emerdale. Think I going to renew my sly subscription.

Blue boots. A very strange point ur making there. Saying leicesterxgetclomger to recover form their Xmas lunch? So do,we. And they have less time after playing Xmas eve than we do. So if, and it's a big if, if either side gain, any advantage it would be us. Frankly tho, dont see a couple ofchours making much difference

The only way to stop getting Sky to rip people off like this is to cancel subscriptions. So many people are still paying silly money to subscribe to Sky sports and lining their pockets and pockets of players who are earning stupid amounts of money every week. Get a firestick and pay £70 a year for EVERY channel under the sun. Millions of people are doing this now and you can watch pretty much any game at any time.

Of course I don't do this myself but I've heard about it...

Absolute disgrace. 7:45pm on Boxing Day big no no. Stop messing with people’s family lives.
That’s what I hated about Prem last time, changing k.o. to Sundays and Monday nights.
