Town Release Shirt Numbers
Monday, 31st Jul 2023 17:07

Town have released their squad numbers for the season ahead.

New signings Jack Taylor, Omari Hutchinson and Cieran Slicker are handed the number 14, 20 and 13 shirts respectively.

Last season, those numbers were owned by Tyreece John-Jules, Matt Penney and Joel Coleman. George Hirst retains the number 27 he wore during his loan spell.

Harry Clarke is the only member of last season's squad to move shirts, switching to two - Richard Keogh's number last season - from 34.

Elkan Baggott, who was on loan throughout 2022/23, is handed number 26, Corrie Ndaba’s shirt a year ago.

Blueboy - Why should the release of squad numbers indicate to you that there will be no further permanent signings. Squad numbers must be registered with EFL before start of season and there is also the need for shirt printing. If you look again at the list you will see that there are gaps in the number sequencing just waiting for the new signings when they arrive. The same new signings you probably hope don’t arrive so that you can continue with your incessant negativity year after year

Thinking out loud i think ed would make a PERFECT striker as he has no BAD HABITS. although id be HAPPIER if he was a super sub. It makes me SHIVER to think of the squad we have. Pardon the puns ha ha

Orraman - shame you don’t know the difference between the words Negative and Realistic.
The Squad needs strengthening in my opinion, because there will be a need to ‘hit the Ground running in the Championship’ with early points on the board - this is not League 1 anymore, and taking a third of the Season to get sorted, gel, settle in, etc; could well prove costly.
We’ve heard ‘it’s early doors, the season is long’ far too often from some of you before.
This will be no season for any of that.

Cant wait its my sons 18th birthday on Sunday when we kick off, lets hope its a good omen.

Seems like yesterday he was born then the skies lit up with fireworks for an hour. I was going to name him after our first scorer but the wifes brother is called Nick so that was out of the question. He was also born on a Saturday.
