Town's Fixtures During World Cup to Be Streamed On iFollow
Wednesday, 16th Nov 2022 11:35

All Town’s League One fixtures during the World Cup and over the Christmas period will be available on iFollow Ipswich to fans based in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

UEFA Article 48, which means Saturday games kicking-off at 3pm can’t be streamed domestically, won’t be in place during the tournament.

The EFL has also confirmed that the Blues' festive fixtures at home to Oxford United on Boxing Day, away at Portsmouth three days later and at Lincoln City on Monday 2nd January will similarly be streamed for domestic supporters.

However, Saturday’s game at Exeter won’t be available as it is being screened live by Sky Sports, while the FA Cup second round tie at home to Buxton a week on Sunday won’t be streamed on iFollow Ipswich in the UK and Ireland due to competition rules.

Video match passes cost £10, while audio match passes are available for £2.50 here.

Let's hope ifollow pull their finger's out then - some of their coverage is average at best.

So just because a game is on Sky the supporters can't watch their team on iFollow?! There must be a lot of people like me who don't care that much about watching random football, I certainly wouldn't pay to watch it. I would pay to watch Ipswich.

Europa, without wanting to drum up business for Murdoch's empire, you can - you can purchase a NowTV day pass for all Sky games. Costs a little more than iFollow (£13 I think?) but it does mean you can watch all the sport that day. Would never get a Sky subscription, but it's a convenient way of getting those games.

Where are the 3pm Saturday fixtures? Presumably just wycombe away then?

EuropaBlue = As D77SGW says - there are various ways of watching Sky on pay per day - on TV (if your package allows it as Now does) or on lap top or phone .... at least that was the case last time I looked. Not only to you get 24 hours of sport you may or may not watch, the coverage of the Town game will be MILES (or is that kILOMETRES) better than on iFollow ... Hope you get sorted mate.

EuropaBlue - Sky game pass for 24 hours £11.68 on NOWTV instead of £10 ifollow. But you get 24 hours sport for that which could be a bonus. I'm often out of town so it really helps me.
pg888 - you're referring to the ifollow audio pass which is every game. The question is about video I think.

Sky is owned by the Democrat billionaires of Comcast, since 2018.
Hence the switch to the disinformation and censorship style of NBC, MSNBC, etc on SkyNews. And the push to further indoctrinate 'Woke' Narcissists.
Your money is going to the US 'Deep State', rather than Murdoch nowadays.

P.S. I watch every Ipswich game in Thailand on ifollow. Coverage is pretty good.

It's true, with a VPN you can place yourself anywhere in the world and watch all games live.

I didn't think it was just the VPN you needed, but also a linked bank account that was overseas? Whenever I've tried iFollow when i'm on holiday, I've still been identified as a UK resident.

Nope just a vpn works fine! Just set up a new account with a fake address which can be generated online from the country you are connecting from. If you say you are in the USA you get charged in dollars etc but that's it
