Almost 27,000 Tickets Sold For Lincoln
Tuesday, 11th Oct 2022 17:37

Town have sold almost 27,000 tickets for Saturday’s home game against Lincoln City at Portman Road, the second of the three #PackOutPR matches during October.

The Blues, second in League One, host the 16th-placed Imps, who are managed by ex-Town left-back Mark Kennedy, looking to make it four wins in a row.

The live Sky game against Derby County, in which the Blues will wear their blackout third kit, is the third match in the ticket promotion, full details here.

That's absolutely amazing, given that Lincoln will probably bring 500 or so, weve probably sold as many as for Portsmouth with 3-4 days to go

On another note Phil, I take it our final match of the season will be rescheduled!
Fantastic crowd for Lincoln, let's get noisier for Cowley's old mob as we were a bit quiet against his current lot
Derby on sky also needs to be absolutely electric.. and I think it will be!

Agree that we could give more vocal support at home. This needs someone to coordinate efforts. Anyone who watched the Copenhagen vs Man City match last night (Tuesday) would have seen how a Scandinavian crowd supports its team. Amazing! COYB!

Atmosphere was generated in the past well before kick off. In the Robson era we had to be in the ground 60 to 90 minutes before kick off to get where we wanted to stand. Being in the ground early we would amuse ourselves with singing. Often we would have banter with away fans through singing and the atmosphere built and built so that by kick off the ground was buzzing. Now you have no reason to go to your seat until just before the start . Just my opinion but some sort of warm up to get people in their seats early would help. Maybe a local singer could sing some football songs? Maybe the big screen could show some famous highlights from the past? Even 10 minutes of someone (an ex player?) stirring the passion would help. With American owners I am surprised that this hasn't already happened as they know how to make a sports event into a big occasion.

Excellent post BB....you are correct although the fanzine is a great idea and works well on may levels. We have a new PA system so in the first instance I believe we need a catchy theme song....Ed help us out, surely this is a no brainer!
