Judge Wins Cap as Ireland Beat New Zealand
Thursday, 14th Nov 2019 22:34

Blues midfielder Alan Judge came on as a 62nd minute sub as the Republic of Ireland beat New Zealand 3-1 in a friendly in Dublin.

Derrick Williams, Sean Maguire and Callum Robinson were on target for Ireland, while former Blues defender Tommy Smith, who has been training with Town recently, came on as a 74th minute sub for the All Whites, whose starting line-up included one-time Blues loanee Chris Wood.

Judge, who was winning his ninth full cap, will hope to have put himself in manager Mick McCarthy’s thoughts ahead of Monday’s vital final Euro 2020 qualifier against Denmark, also in Dublin.
