Away Days Launch New Town Ales at Ipswich Beer Festival
Wednesday, 11th Sep 2019 16:28

The Away Days Beer Company is launching their three new Town-themed beers at the Ipswich Beer Festival at the Corn Exchange from Thursday 19th September to Saturday 21st September.

Away Days, who already have beers in tribute to Sir Bobby Robson, Boncho Genchev and Kevin Beattie and contributed to the campaign for a statue of the Blues legend, are launching ales saluting Terry Butcher, Alan Brazil and Pablo Couñago.

Butcher’s Bandage, a red ale, Brazil’s Best, a bitter and Pablo’s Pale will all be available on cask from the Thursday night at the festival which this year is being run this year by Hopsters, the Ipswich-based craft ale retailers.

With an incredible array of craft beer and real ale breweries, the festival will bring beers to Ipswich which will really impress the public.

In addition, there's street food plus live music from Mark Morriss, the lead singer of the Bluetones, and Lewis Floyd Henry, the man they call the 21st Century Hendrix, whose mash-ups of blues, rock, and hip hop have gone viral online.

Tickets available online from the festival’s website or Hopsters on St Nicholas Street.

Surly they can have these on sale inside the ground??
Is the clubs catering manager for real? Is there a catering manager?
If there is please sack him and replace with someone who knows what there doing.
ME said there would be improvements.....when in 2025????

The complete line-up should all be available in the ground.

And would be a top seller PackwoodBlue.
Plus a massive improvement on what's currently offered, which is poor.
A good earner for club and a local business.

Unfortunately having them at the ground isn't an option as the clubs pouring rights are with Greene King for now. Excellent beers though, Hoppy Robson is a personal favourite

Greene King hold the in ground rights which is amazing because in my stand last week they had run out of IPA an hour before kick off last home match.
Service was appalling with queues building un-necessarily, ME has sought the assurance of the concessionaires that improvements will be made this season but sadly they have not kept their word.
ITFCsince73 is right there does need to be some accountability because revenue is being lost all because the management responsible is not being proactive.
