Lambert: Tuesday's Game Was Made For Georgiou Friday, 23rd Aug 2019 11:53 Town manager Paul Lambert felt Tuesday night’s game was made for new loan signing Anthony Georgiou, who made an impressive debut as a half-time sub as the Blues came from behind to beat AFC Wimbledon 2-1 at Portman Road. Lambert says has been pleased with Tottenham youngster Georgiou’s early contribution and likes his versatility with the Cyprus international able to play at left-back as well as on the wing. “He can cover a couple of positions, he similar to Luke Garbutt in that role. The lad’s just here and he’s done great,” he said. “I think the game was made for him on Tuesday, just the way it was going and the atmosphere and the crowd taking to him right away. “As I said, the three subs made massive impacts, which was great, so he’ll do good for us. He gets people off their seats, which I think is important.” Georgiou, 22, who is currently due to remain with the Blues until January, could make his first start at Bolton on Saturday.
