Bolton Boss Departs Ahead of Town Visit
Wednesday, 21st Aug 2019 19:09

Saturday’s opponents Bolton Wanderers have been dealt a new blow with manager Phil Parkinson and his assistant Steve Parkin having left the crisis club ahead of Saturday's game against the Blues.

According to the Bolton News, Parkinson and Parkin told the club’s administrators of their decision to quit prior to last weekend’s 5-0 thrashing at Tranmere.

One-time Colchester boss Parkinson confirmed he had decided to move on: “I felt it was the right time to go.”

Jimmy Phillips, the Trotters’ academy manager, is believed to be the man who will be put in temporary charge ahead of Town's visit the University of Bolton Stadium.

Earlier in the week, the home game against Doncaster Rovers was called off by Bolton’s joint-administrator Paul Appleton due to welfare concerns regarding the club’s young players, with only three senior players fit. The move is set to lead to a further points deduction on top of the 12 they have already been handed for going into administration.

The weekend game with Town is not thought to be in any doubt, while Bolton are hopeful that their takeover by Football Ventures will be concluded soon.

senduntd- firstly, never apologise for having an opinion on here, complete waste of time.
My stance on Evans has always been the same, he's failed in his time with us, BUT we are financially stable. I take the positive out of the situation, WHY - 1/ no one on here know the full extent of his financial accounts 2/ I can't be assed to do anything about it. CONCLUSION - I don't usually get involved in anything to do with Evans.
Based on Bluearmy's latest comment, I must be backing him!!!

Bobble. That makes a change.
Normally most people don't agree with what you post.

Evans HAS to be made accountable for the poor decision making which to a degree has cost us financially in his reign here which to me over shadows what he has put in financially, and don't forget he got £9M per season from TV money which offset his operating losses (something that was not mentioned until this season when we were relegated)!

Only when it suits Timmy H!! He's been trying to run the club 'all square' as much as possible for years, which have turned out to be to the detriment of the squad and the fortunes of the club. Relegation had been coming for years. Such was the lack of any protest at the chronic underinvestment, these fans enabled this degeneration.

As crappy as this sounds, I hope we don't go easy on them. Every goal will matter this season. I wish Bolton the best moving forward though as the situation sucks.

Bluearmy_81 you have consistently failed to answer questions put to you and when I persisted with seeking an answer you insulted me and said you would not respond to any more of my posts.
You have proven through your various statements that you have no idea of the FFP rules in relation to 1st and 2nd div clubs, you have no business experience and you are unable to read company accounts.
So I challenge you to tell us what ME's walking away would look like and what would it involve.

What do you think it would look like bugs? For me it would mean him giving up his ownership meaning rather than selling the club he walks and gets nothing for it. Highly highly unlikely. Now you and bobble grow a pair and stop being afraid of things that aren't going to happen. 😀👍🏻

Bluearmy 81..... you are just a Norwich supporter.
Everyone just ignore her/him/it.
Only posts to wind people up, and try and highlight her/his/it's day in the bedroom in solitude.😥😥😥

Haha absolutely hilarious bluearmy_81 once again you cannot do it, you simply have no idea of the consequences/benefits, you manage to convince a few mid teens on your childish FB page by your over bearing bluster and no content, and on here you simply answer questions with questions.
Just remind us all again, how much interest does ME charge on the loans?
Oh and by the way you had the cheek to call Dozzells Bobblehat childish for mis-spelling your name but check you out on your first sentence!! Laughable.
Anyway I've enjoyed the matches I've been to this season, how have you found the ones you've been to?
