Town Linked With Vincent-Young Approach
Monday, 12th Aug 2019 15:46

Town are reported to have made an approach to Colchester United for former trialist Kane Vincent-Young.

The Blues were linked with the full-back over the weekend, now, according to Football Insider, Town have contacted the U’s regarding the 23-year-old.

Vincent-Young spent time on trial with the Blues during pre-season ahead of 2018/19 but wasn't offered a deal and ended up signing a new two-year contract at Colchester.

Last week the one-time Tottenham academy youngster was linked with moves to Championship sides Luton and Charlton but their transfer deadline passed with Vincent-Young still at the JobServe Community Stadium.

The Camden-born defender, who had a spell with Banbury early in his career, is primarily a right-back but also operates on the other flank.

Right-back is understood to be one of the areas where manager Paul Lambert is looking for one of his three additions prior to the League One window closing on September 2nd.

It’s likely to U’s would want a fee for Vincent-Young but with funds known to be in short supply at Portman Road.

tetchris - the two things that have changed since we last had him on trial are our manager and our division.

bluearmy_81, rabbit: According to the company accounts, Evans did originally charge interest on the legacy debt that he bought (at the same rate the original lenders were charging), but he stopped charging it in 2014, mainly around the time he stopped giving managers money for players (presumably when he lost interest in the club).

It is common knowledge but that interests doesnt actually mean anything... the club is worth less than debt..... he wont get anything like hes put in back unless he gets the club to the PL.

No potential buyer, not that there are any is going to take on the debt, Evans would have to right of a huge amout for a sale to happen so its irrelevant...

The concept that clubs of towns size bring in more in sales than the lay out has been happening since Robsons day so to offer that an argument is at best rather glib. There is resson for that, the club losses money, lots of it.

Rebel without a clue.

Bluearmy_81. Please use just a little bit of common sense before you comment. It's not a case of £12mill in spend £12 mill!!! Agents fees loan fees and wages all come into the equation. I'm sure if it was you that was "owed" £90+mill you'd keep throwing money around??

So Murcian says "put down the keyboard long enough to rally a real protest". And Bluearmy81's response is "I have. It's on Facebook."??

Bluearmy_81 How is the Facebook campaign going. 129 member including yourself and if you all chip in £232,558 each you'll be able to but ITFC for £30mill and then you can all spend what you want on players

Nothing to say about your "common knowledge" statement bluearmy_81?

If we don't go up this season at the first time of asking (which a modest investment in the squad would have helped hugely with) we will be lucky to still be in league one in 3-4. years given MEs current approach. Will all the gobblers still be backing him even then? Genuine question

Who is backing ME bluearmy_81?
The majority on this forum simply deal in the facts because they are not in a dream world of hearsay made up theories and childish name calling.
"gobblers" absolutely pathetic.

Of course you won't bluearmy_81 because you are unable to substantiate most of what you say, if you are unable to respond it shows you up for the inability to debate in any form of logical manner making your comments worthless.
You're the psychologist work it out!!

It is little wonder that I refuse to make comments on this site. Where is the relevance to the headline regarding our interest in this player. I will return when and only when comments are relevant to the subject matter. Once upon a time this site was enjoyable and grown up. Perhaps it is indicative of the malaise that social media. Thankyou and goodbye.
