New Judge Bid Rejected Report
Monday, 22nd Jul 2019 10:35

Town are reported to have rejected a new bid of £450,000 from QPR for midfielder Alan Judge.

According to The Sun on Sunday’s Alan Nixon, the Blues have rebuffed the Championship’s side’s second offer for the Irish international but with the player said to be keen on the move.

QPR, managed by Judge’s former Brentford boss Mark Warburton, are previously understood to have made an offer of £250,000 for the 30-year-old.

Speaking on Friday Town boss Paul Lambert appeared to tacitly confirm the earlier bid but insisted that the Blues wouldn’t allow Judge, who only signed a new two-year contract in April, to depart for a derisory fee.

“There is no way he is going to leave this club for a value that in my opinion is nowhere near his true worth," he said after the friendly victory at Colchester.

“If we let him go to QPR who do we get in? Everybody has a value, absolutely, but there’s got to be a bit of realism.

"The football club got Alan going again and made him play consecutive games. We gave him a great opportunity. He did well for us last season but we did well for him.

"It’s a two-way thing and there’s no chance he is going to just walk out the door.”

Judge is yet to appear for the Blues in a pre-season friendly due to the broken wrist he suffered while on international duty with the Republic of Ireland last month.

The truth of the matter is that nobody wants an unhappy player who is agitating to leave at their club, look at that guy at West Spam for example.

Some players can be more trouble than they are worth----not saying this is the case here but a statement of intent from the player would be helpful.

Also we all know that any money raised will go in to the Evans black hole and will never be seen again so what is the point?
