QPR Again Linked With Judge
Sunday, 30th Jun 2019 11:07
QPR are again being linked with a move for Blues midfielder Alan Judge.
The West Londoners were claimed to be interested in the 30-year-old earlier in the month and, according to The Sun on Sunday, manager Mark Warburton remains keen, viewing the Irish international as a replacement for Luke Freeman, if the one-time Arsenal youngster moves on this summer.
Sheffield United are reported to have had a £4 million bid for the 27-year-old rejected, while Leeds have also been linked.
Warburton, who was Judge’s boss at Brentford, is said to be ready to pay £1 million for the Dubliner, who signed a new two-year deal with the Blues in April.
It would be a huge surprise if Town were willing to sell Judge this summer with the January recruit a key man in Paul Lambert’s plans for the season ahead. Judge himself is settled at the club and has no concerns that League One football will hamper his international aspirations.
Nevertheless, it's understood the terms of Judge’s contract could open the door to a move to a Championship side if a club makes an offer at a set level, although this is believed to be significant, and the player was interested.
Even if Freeman is sold, it remains to be seen whether QPR would have much cash for signings this summer due to their well-documented FFP problems.
Elsewhere, both Bristol City and Millwall are reported to be set to bid £3 million to Barnsley for ex-Town striker Kieffer Moore.
If the 26-year-old does move on, the Blues would receive 10 per cent of the profit the Tykes make on the £750,000 they paid for the former Forest Green Rovers forward in January 2018.
Millwall are also reported to be readying a £1 million offer for Sunderland keeper Jon McLaughlin, although the Black Cats are said to want nearer to £5 million for the former Burton Albion man.
If the Lions do recruit McLaughlin that would certainly end any likelihood of a renewed move for Town’s Bartosz Bialkowski whose switch to the South Londoners broke down earlier in the week. Millwall, who want two keepers this summer, signed Frank Fielding from Bristol City on Thursday.

Agree Bobby nuts. Some of you would be delighted as this would be it if Evans sold Judge, I would completely suspend my support until that man is gone.

If they do trigger the release clause there is nothing we can do. I just hope the release clause is at least 5 or 6 million pounds.

It wouldn’t matter if it’s 20m.
That’ll be 20m towards the debt.
Amazes me that supporters have got excited about the 10% sell on fees received and will continue to receive.
All money towards the debt.
As usual 1st team squad gets little or no investment to improve.
Any Money in, is all towards the debt.
That’s what the club says anyway.....

But forgot to mention all that when season tickets went to market....

Glad I said stuff your early bird.
I’ll wait to assess the situation 1st.

Itfcsince73. Shows u only want to support the team when things going well. Unlike those of us who will go regardless of where the team are, who the owner is or whatever, because it's our team. That of course is ur choice and ur right to do so, but dont criticise those of us who do go as if it means we back Evans on whatever he does. We dont. However right or wrong anyone thinks Evan's is to do things the way he does, 2 things spring to mind. 1, remember who put us in financial trouble in the 1st place. If that hadn't happened, he(presuming hed still bought the club), would be able to do things differently. 2. Would u rather have an owner the likes of Blackpool had, or Bolton? Or even forest? Owners who've already, by spending loads have had the club under a transfer ban, while getting nowhere, and have just appointed their 13th permanent manager in 8 years?

Blimey . Here's a novel thought . Shall we wait and see if there's any substance in this before making sweeping statements!

If I’ve read this report correctly, Sheffield United had a bid of £4m turned down. Which means any release clause will be higher than that. QPR I think are time wasters, but if Sheffield Utd meet any release cause, no matter how happy Judge is with us, it could be his last chance at 30 to play in the Premier League. And to be honest, whilst I think it would be devastating for us if he left, who could really blame him? Whilst QPR is the headline, Sheffield Utd and Leeds are more of a worry for me.

Poster. No, I didn't read this properly. Sheffield utd have bid £4m for Luke Freeman of QPR,not judge. The story is saying QPR are interested in judge if Freeman goes

Well if he goes ,Bristol sell Webster ,and the money that has already come in Evans is going to need a bigger back pocket
SouperJim added 09:16 - Jul 1
So much flapping on this story, he's one of our best players, of course other clubs are going to be interested in him. Somehow that's Evans fault? Laughable. Evans signed him you bunch of doughnuts! Any excuse to have a pop at the owner, stick to when it's deserved, not based on something The Sun claims might happen.
He only recently signed for us when he could have easily got a championship club if he'd wanted one. He's going nowhere, try and keep calm.
ITFCsince73 - awful, awful "support".

Blues1. Souperjim. Both barking up the wrong tree.
After nearly 50 years supporting the club, mostly home and away through thick and thin. I'm close to reaching the stage where I have to consider what's more important in life.
Spending more time with the grandkids or wasting my time following my club, hoping to get 3 points against Rochdale.
My support of the club can never be questioned, past present or future. Souperjim your assumption is b*****x.
If the club shows me they mean buisness.....until then my patience is wearing thin.
ITFCsince73 added 10:33 - Jul 1
Souperjim. We go into L1 on the cheap.
Do we still have to say how great our owner is....Lol.
PackwoodBlue added 10:43 - Jul 1
If the club let him go it will speak volumes as to ME's continued (lack of?) ambition..
brittaniaman added 11:54 - Jul 1
WARBURTON we nursed Judge back to fitness and we should be reaping the benefits next season not you so do one, and concentrate on making MORE BREAD.
blues1 added 12:15 - Jul 1
Itfcsince73. If you read my post correctly youd have seen i defended ur right to make that decision. My gripe with you was that u accuse us who continue to go regardless of foing do in support of Evan's. Thst is not true, I would go regardless of his actions or anything else because that's what I do. Have to say thocthatvu have contradicted urself tho. Saying ur support in the future cant be questioned, but you'll only go, in effect , if things going the way hope for. But again, ur right to do so
blues1 added 12:17 - Jul 1
Packwoodblue. As has already been said, Ifcthe release ckausevis met and judge decides he wants to go, theres nothing Evans can do to stop him. So would be do with any lack of ambition on his part, would it
SouperJim added 12:32 - Jul 1
ITFCsince73 I'm referring to the fact that you are giving it out to Evans on the basis of this story courtesy of a newspaper renowned for making transfer news up based on any tiny half truth it can find. Even if accurate, criticise Evans for the stuff he CAN control by all means, he deserves it (you have incorrectly assumed I'm some kind of Evans apologist). But your criticism here is daft and lacks perspective. Evans signs a player, bit of a coup for us, who then attracts suitors... I fail to see what he could do better here.
Do whatever you like on weekends, I fully support fans who vote with their feet (the only real form of protest we have). Spend your weekends posting tripe on here and others will pull you up on it though.
ITFCsince73 added 12:58 - Jul 1
Souperjim I refer to Evan's for the period of time hes owned the club. And gave him the benefit of the doubt up until recently. It's only in the past few weeks it's become clear that no real investment will be made to even get us back to what we was only a few years back. Which was an average championship side.
There is and will continue to be an explosion of squad investment at a large number of clubs going Into the new L1 season.
Getting to the championship out of the 2 lowest divisions will be harder than ever, and each year that passes.
Judging Evan's over his reign tells me he will not go head to head with what other L1 clubs are doing.
Our squad is poor, and quality additions needed just to be competitive. That said I may be talking tripe, but for sure well see.
Bluearmy_81 added 13:12 - Jul 1
Well said ITFC73. We will not go up as things stand, we need 2-3 quality additions minimum. Still, there are some that won't lay the blame at Evans door if we spend the next 10 years in league 1-2, it's mystifying. I think it must be a serf/fuedal hangover.
Steve_ITFC_Sweden added 13:19 - Jul 1
Let's wait and see what happens. There will be plenty more rumours about all kinds of players before the transfer window closes: some will be bulls***; others will turn out to be genuine. Let's just hope that the Judge story is more like the former.

Typical lazy journalism from a rag like The Sun. They don't print facts, they make them up or as in this casection, regurgitate it from another source.
