Harrison Returns as U23s Face Millwall
Monday, 26th Nov 2018 10:37

Striker Ellis Harrison returns to match action this afternoon when the Blues’ table-topping U23s face Millwall at their Calmont Road training ground (KO 1.30pm).

Summer signing Harrison, 24, has been sidelined since suffering an ankle injury in late September. Also involved against the Lions will be Aaron Drinan, Ben Folami and Myles Kenlock.

Town’s U23s, who are coached by Gerard Nash and Chris Hogg, are top of the Professional Development League Two South table and are unbeaten in 12, their only loss having come in their first game of the campaign.

Millwall are currently fourth and are without a win in their last four, drawing two and losing two.

U23s: Wright, Cotter, Kenlock, C Smith, Ndaba, McGavin, McLoughlin, El Mizouni, Folami, Harrison, Drinan. Subs: Egan, Dobra, McKendry, Clements, K Brown.

Need him to step up when fit and hit the ground running. Opportunity for one of Hursts signings to prove themselves.

Good. He may not be the best centre forward we've ever had but at least he IS a centre forward, and we need all the help we can get up there.

Where did Aaron Drinan pop up from?! Thought he was out on loan somewhere none of us were too fussed about? Is it like you're mate who just comes home for the weekend to see the boys and you ask him if he wants a run out for your Sunday side?

Moose - Like the loans of several young players, I think Drinan's terms allow him to appear for our U23s.

Thanks Radlett, interesting. But presumably he still couldn't play for the first team even if he banged in five in this game, unless we put a recall clause in the loan deal?

I'm a s*it defender, and Harrison wouldn't exactly worry me. Hope he pulls his socks up and gets a ruthless streak

Well Moose - you will no doubt be interested to see that Drinan has now been recalled from his loan at Sutton!
