Knudsen Wins Cap in Danish Victory as Edwards Unused Sub for Wales
Tuesday, 16th Oct 2018 21:53

Blues left-back Jonas Knudsen won his fifth full cap as Denmark beat Austria 2-0 in a friendly in Herning this evening.

Knudsen started before being replaced in the 89th minute having suffered a blow to the head as the Danes won courtesy of goals from Bordeaux’s Lukas Lerager and Middlesbrough’s Martin Braithwaite.

Elsewhere, Town winger Gwion Edwards is still to win his first senior cap having been an unused sub as Wales defeated the Republic of Ireland 1-0 in Dublin to climb to the top of their UEFA Nations League group ahead of Denmark.

Hope the blow to the head isn't serious. Would be just our luck, as we're starting to find our feet.

this international break is starting to feel like death by 1000 cuts! it was good to see england winning away in spain but i'm still just not really feeling this new international tournament at all just yet. seems too soon after the world cup.
