Downes Back for Blues at Hull
Saturday, 15th Sep 2018 14:30

Flynn Downes returns to the Blues starting line-up at Hull City in an otherwise unchanged Town team still looking for their first win of the season.

Downes replaces Kayden Jackson in the XI and will be in midfield with Cole Skuse with Jon Nolan taking the more advanced central role behind Jon Walters, who is the lone striker.

Jackson is on the bench where Danny Rowe is included for the first time in the Championship this season. Janoi Donacien is again the loanee missing out on a place in the 18.

Hull City: Marshall, De Wijs, Burke, Evandro, Kane, Batty, Bowen, Henriksen (c), Kingsley, Campbell, Elphick. Subs: Long, Stewart, Dicko, Grosicki, Irvine, McKenzie, Martin.

Town: Gerken, Spence, Chambers (c), Pennington, Knudsen, Skuse, Downes, Edwards, Nolan, Graham, Walters. Subs: Bialkowski, Chalobah, Jackson, Harrison, Rowe, Ward, Edun. Referee: Tony Harrington (Cleveland).

Surprised to see graham keep his place but seems a nicely balanced team, just need a win! However ugly, just get the 3 points!

Surprised Edun isn't in the team again.

Looked quality when he has played. Would certainly start him ahead of Graham at the moment!

With our current squad, for once it doesn't matter who he picks or leaves out with the possible exceptions of Chambers, Knudson and Walters. It's more important that players are in the right positions. I just the midfield and fullbacks can offer a bit more support to the frontman. COYB 3-1 Town

Im all for giving the manager time but this is getting a bit of a joke. Graham was poor v naaaarige and dont rate Gerkin or Skuse. Our 2 centre forwards bought by PH both on bench. Says it all

The bookies didn't make us relegation favourites for nothing. It's going to be a big 45 minutes.
