Town Confirm Red Card Appeal
Tuesday, 28th Aug 2018 11:30

Town have confirmed they are appealing against Toto Nsiala’s red card at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

Nsiala was sent off in the 75th minute for a challenge on Fernando Forestieri when the central defender appeared to cleanly win the ball before the Owls striker collided with him in the aftermath of the tackle.

Town had until today to lodge their appeal which will be heard by the Football Association Regulatory Commission later this week.

As things stand Nsiala is facing a three-match ban, starting with Sunday’s East Anglian derby at home to Norwich City.

Complete waste of time. It is not a "clear an obvious error". The appeal will fail, and Nsiala will get a 4 game ban for wasting everyone's time. Another poor management decision.

Anyone remember that little ref called Fitzpatrick from way back? He used to get cheered onto the pitch every time he came to Portman Road. He used to run on to the pitch with his knees almost as high as his chest lol. Now there was a ref that the fans loved. A very rare thing.

This decision ranks up with the penalty decision given by Bob Hamer against Liverpool in ‘93.

6/5 says it's not overturned the FA panel will back the referee and say he followed through.

Watched it so many times, we all have! But it's the follow through after he got the ball and with the studs showing! Have a feeling this will not be overturned and we will loose him for more games. Really want to be wrong on this, we need him Sunday.

I guess we'll find out what the FA stands for shortly.... they will be either be F**ckin a*seholes or F**ckin awesome! Never a red card in a million years. Only a yellow all day long! Fingers crossed it gets reversed.

If this red card decision is not overturned will show the FA to be a corrupt cartel that just backs their own,
