Town have confirmed they are appealing against Toto Nsiala’s red card at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

Nsiala was sent off in the 75th minute for a challenge on Fernando Forestieri when the central defender appeared to cleanly win the ball before the Owls striker collided with him in the aftermath of the tackle.

Town had until today to lodge their appeal which will be heard by the Football Association Regulatory Commission later this week.

As things stand Nsiala is facing a three-match ban, starting with Sunday’s East Anglian derby at home to Norwich City.

Monarch_Blue added 14:15 - Aug 28 Complete waste of time. It is not a "clear an obvious error". The appeal will fail, and Nsiala will get a 4 game ban for wasting everyone's time. Another poor management decision.

He used to run on to the pitch with his knees almost as high as his chest lol. Now there was a ref that the fans loved. A very rare thing.
