Hurst: Nothing New on Loans Thursday, 16th Aug 2018 15:03 Town manager Paul Hurst says he’s no nearer to making any further loan additions to his squad or anyone moving out for a spell. Hurst wants two more loan signings before the deadline at the end of the month, a striker and centre-half. He has a third target but won’t bring in any more than five loanees - the limit permitted in a matchday squad - with Janoi Donacien currently on loan until his permanent leave to remain is confirmed when his move from Accrington will become permanent. “No, lots of conversations about the ones trying to come in,” Hurst said. “I think the other way around, realistically you’re waiting on phone calls or requests to come in. “It’s similar to the transfer window. You speak to some clubs about possible targets and the player might be available but the club can’t do it at the minute as they need one in. “You have to wait for them and look online to hopefully see some news where they’ve signed someone in that position and then we might get the green light then.” Tristan Nydam and Barry Cotter are among those he’d like to see go out for spells to gain experience but he says he’s not circulated a list of who is available. “No, I haven’t circulated them,” he added. “It can work in very different ways. Everyone’s got an agent and I’m sure they’re making them aware. “But if someone picks up the phone I’ll tell them the situation with certain lads and see what happens over the next couple of weeks.”
