Town Fans "Low Risk"
Wednesday, 12th Jun 2002 09:59

Town's fans have been deemed low risk supporters in a joint statement from Millwall FC and the Metropolitan Police. Millwall have banned supporters from six First Division clubs and have categorised all their home matches into three groups.

Town are in Category A, which contains 13 other teams including Norwich. These games will have no special provisions, although their risk will be monitored as the season progresses.

Millwall have banned fans of Category C clubs: Wolves, Burnley, Nottingham Forest, Stoke City, Portsmouth and Leicester City.

Category B comprises of Coventry City, Derby County, Reading and Crystal Palace. These games will be all-ticket for away fans and will kick-off at a time when there will be at least one hour of daylight after the final whistle. If they are scheduled as evening kick-offs then other arrangements will be made.

Nationwide Division One fixtures will be announced on Thursday of this week.
